3310 resets approx every minute & no network coverage

Hi,

Recently I updated the software on my 3310 to the version 5.79 language pack B. I also flashed a 3310 eeprom.

After updating the FAID, removing locks and updating IMEI (to the one written inside the case) with rolis' noktools, I put the SIM card back in and powered on the phone.

I entered the PIN code and then got the usual display. "Menu" at the bottom, battery bars at the right but no aerial bars at the left. The middle of the display, which usually shows "VODAFONE", was also blank.

Keypad tones went silent after around 10 seconds and less than a minute later the phone reset. Any numbers dialled claim "No network coverage".

The phone continues to periodically reset.

Any ideas what I can do to rectify this?

I think you should update FAID at last.

What for you've reflashed EEPROM????
About resetting - update FAID!

1) Flash 3310 with any 5.47 or better MCU+PPM flash (you may use any flasher program)
2) Start KNok-Phoenix build 1 go to PHONE SETTINGS and hit QUICK FAID
3) Push button 3310 to 3315
4) Go to PHONE SETTINGS and click on QUICK SET FAID
5) Go to PHONE SETTING and click set new IMEI
(copy the 13 digit number on the back of you phone)
(example: 123456/30/123456/7)
6) Go to MODIFY LOCKS and click on Reset SP- LOCK
7) Go to PHONE SETTINGS and click on RESET USER INTERFACE SETTINGS

Or on Noktool by Rolis 1.9
1) click FAID
2) change IMEI
3) click FAID
4) click SP
5) click SFR (don't use SFR if the sw you are flashing has 3315 enabled)

then

Turn off phone, turn on (no network)
Turn off, then turn on again (network ok)
Your Done!

I tried a different eeprom then reflashed everything and now it works! Thanks for the step by step instructions guys, I probably did something in the wrong order or something first time round ...
