Heres how I enabled it on the 3410:
(It should be similar on your 3510)
Menu --> Messages --> Message Settings --> Common
Then scroll through until you get to "Delivery reports" and set to Yes (On mine this was the first menu in Common).
Hope this helps

Hi Bobl.
That menu structure doesn't exist in the 3510. I get:-
Messages - Settings - Text Msgs / Multimedia Msgs - (Text msgs)Sending Profile / Font Size - (Sending Profile) Msg centre no / Default recipient no / Use GPRS.
That is it.
....once more.... Message Settings > Text
Messages > Sending Profile > Default Profile >
Delivery Reports > YES
Once more..... That menu structure does not exist in this phone, it does not share the 33xx/34xx menu system.Originally posted by 8675309
....once more.... Message Settings > Text
Messages > Sending Profile > Default Profile >
Delivery Reports > YES
My menu structure follows, delivery reports do not feature anywhere.
Messages -> many options + Message Settings.
Message Settings ->
Text Messages
Multimedia Messages
Text Messages ->
Sending Profile
Font Size
Sending Profile ->
Message Centre Number -> centre number
Default Recipient Number -> blank screen to enter no
Use GPRS -> yes/no
That is the complete menu for text.
No delivery notifications.
Help.
Sorry mate, sounds like you can't. I have a 3510i, and the option for delivery reports is where you're looking. I downloaded a 3510 user manual, and that shows the delivery reports option as being there also.
Basically, you're looking in the right place, I can't understand why it's not there.
Oh I just think i figured out why...(think, not know)
What operator are you on?
I have a feeling why it's not on there is because it is not enabled on your sim card (I.E. you operator does not have or allow that functionality, so the sim card stops you from using that menu).
Same with me on T-Mobile, I can't use certain security settings because T-Mobile don't have support for them.
Let me know if this is not the case
Cheers

@bobl
Hi M8. You are right. A short while after I made the last post, I tried my T-mob SIM, all missing menus appeared.
I contacted my wife's SP O*a*ge who were very uncooperative, basically they refused to give a SIM update to enable these features.
Here is the annoying thing. My phone (6310i) also didn't have the delivery notification menu, but I was able to enable it using the PC suite provided.
Regretfully, the 3510 doen't have any other connectivity (ie IR/BT) and I don't have an MBUS for this one.
Are there any hacks to enable this, secret menus etc? I can't find any. Guess I'll have to get an MBUS.
at me (3510i @ t-mobile) i got that menu there:
Menu -> Messages -> Message settings -> Text messages
-> sending profile -> default profile -> delivery reports no/yes
That's weird, I'm on Orange and all my menus are intact.
I believe you have a new sim than Nigey. Hence the sim will have the new features.That's weird, I'm on Orange and all my menus are intact.
I don't know about unlocking locked menus I'm afraid (Apart from Netmonitor). You might want to start a new thread with a link to this thread for background information.
I wish you luck
Bob
P.S. About Orange not giving you an upgraded SIM...That is REALLY poor on their part, shame on them.

Nothin' will stop sheer determination. Orange - up yours.
I have solved this. I have just finished repairing a 7110. I used to have one of these myself, and remember that I had access to this menu.
The thought crossed my mind - is this thing with the menus disabled/enabled a SIM function or a phone function enabled by SIM?
So I took out my wife's SIM and put it in the 7110, went to delivery reports, enabled them, took out the SIM and replaced it back in the 3510.
I sent a text to my phone and ---- hey presto---- I got a delivery report. HA HA HA HA HA orange, I'm not going to buy another SIM like you wanted.
If this problem has troubled anyone else, I recommend trying this as a possible solution.
Oh and no, the extra menu features didn't appear in the 3510 afterwards, but hey, what the hell, I got what I wanted!!!
Thanks for all your comments and help.
