flash/fm bus cable schematics for nokia 6210
Hi!
Has anyone scematics or links to cables for use with Nokia 6210? It seem to be different from 6110 because 6210 doesn't have the signal BTEMP. However i need to make these cables and maybe many others with me. Anyone done a flashcable to 6210? / Berndt, Sweden

Of course the 6210 has BTEMP. Only it's not located at the data cable interface connector. It is one of the battery terminals. I don't know which of the inner terminal is the BTEMP.
AFAIK, BTEMP is also used by the handset to monitor battery condition aside feom the charge level. So, how can ther be NO BTEMP? Quote:

Hello
I've done flashcable to 6210 and it's working with 6110 also (and with all others as well...). Schematics from this site http://www.nkmobile.co.uk/ Section "schematics"... There is also FBus/MBus-cable schematics (works fine for me!. |

Thanks !!! it solved my problems
Thanks -=TS=-!
I have built them now and they work well! Unfortunaly WildSwan (Veteran) was wrong here. 6210 has no BTEMP!!! check your sources before you shout next time!

micro_b (Newbie)
first of all I mentioned that BTEMP is not located here. This link is the cable interface I am talking about. http://www.nobbi.com/steck_nok.htm YOU! Yes YOU! check your sources before you conclude someone is wrong. Have you checked the service manual... the schematic diagram in particular. You will see that BTEMP exist is one of the 2 inner contacts of the battery. battery - + ------------ | | | | | | -------> One of these two contacts is the BTEMP. As for you newbie... I don't know why do you need the BTEMP for. I am just trying to point out that there is BTEMP in all DCT3 phones. I will upload a portion of the schematic to enlighten a newbie like you. Or make it easy for the both of us, scan a copy of a schematic diagram of a 6210. Good day newbie! Quote:

Battery terminal...
Guys.. take a look...
(Especially micro_newbie) After the insult I get from mirco_newbie (which I was just trying to help), I was challenge to dig my sources. The configuration of the battery terminal of a 6210: (left to right, battery compartment) 1. Possitive terminal 2. BSI 3. BTEMP 4. Negative terminal And for your information. The vibra motor in the battery is controlled via BTEMP. I hope this clear my name from giving info without checking my sources as micro_newbie acuse me of. These configuration applies to 7110, 5110 and to those that share the same battery type and is a DCT3. Quote:

I think this is intresting. More a matter of cleaning reputations than to present a solutions of a working cable. It is much needed to create a war on this planet... agree?rolleyes:
Specially thanks to Wildswan. I didnt want to hurt your feelings about to be a veteran. You dont know my background in electronics thou. But you was the first to use Letters so mark a loud attitude. However the progress you made was from a guess to a present 4 of 9 pins now. As far as i can see, the cable is almost done now. If you have the rest i welcome you to present pin 5 to 9 in a later reply? Maybe you are too angry af me now? I have noticed a lot of pictures and different descriptions of the connector when i searched the internet. Now i think all of this is more or less a matter of trial and error. The schematics is almost every time a amatures work and is a potential danger to the phones. If i found a trustable source to the electric specification of the connector, I could present a cheap simple and harmless adapter here? Anyone intrested?:

Thanks but no thanks. We don't need cheap. What we need is something tried and working and safe.
But you didn't agree whether there is a BTEMP or none in a 6210. I was not shouting. I was trying to emphasize some words. BTEMP is supposed to be written in ALL CAPS as it is presented in the schematic diagram. Attached is a fully tested and working schematic and construction guide for a flasher cable not only for 6210 but for all DCT3 phones. If you have searched you could have found this in the 3310..etc thread. But for your convenience micro... Quote:

The source of the attached flasher is at:
Combi FLASHER/Mbus This cable has been conceptualized, built and tested in this thread. The question now is . . . All sources has been spoon fed to you... will you still be lazy to chew? No offense meant to anyone.

I think this was one of the more educating thread i ever seen. Specially thanks to TS to providing a perfect cable and it the first reply too.
Thanks to Wildswan too, providing links and files even though he didn't liked to do so....i think. The last comment about spoon and chew, i can't understand the relevance here. But i think you had a good childhood anyway. ![]()
