I made a little program in Java that can divide the content file. Content file contain all ringtones, jar files, images. (File format is very complicated) I saved all original ringtones from 7210,6610,6100,3510i flash file.

If anyone need, I will attach here.

Bye,
Seaky

to get your java programs into the games menu, you need to use mobilemb 1.2 and just drag and drop them into the games folder connecting with either irda or cable.

Talking 7250 Software

Thank you all guys. Great work with all those ringtones. Anyone who ownes a Nokia 7250 is a happy man. Nokia's Pc Suite 5.1 is fantastic! You can just like that browse your phone from "My Computer" and upload any logo or ringtones. So if you have 7250 don't look for mobimb or other hacked sortware. The original is far the best!

The newest Nokia phone models has two ringtone banks. One for the permanent tunes and the other for the frequently-changed tunes. Usually first bank can be found in the "ringtones" option and second bank can be found in the "Gallery/Tones" menu. Generally the first bank has ringtone size (usually 4Kb) limit.

I know two ways to get the tunes from the phone.

1st:
If you need ringtones from the first or second bank, the easiest way to get them via Irda or data cable. (Best use: Oxygen RingtoneWorkshop for the first bank
and MobiMB for the second)

2nd:
If you need system tones/tunes (e.g. Alert, Wakeup, PowerOn) or you dont have the phone phisically then you can directly grab them from the phone's firmware. (I wrote a program for it)
I allways use the second solution although its very difficult (firmwares are complicated) but the best.

bye,
Seaky

Hi Seaky,
If you can extract portions of the firmware ROM, is it possible to alter the ROM yet?

To alter the firmware harder than just extract some portions.
Need to recalculate checksums and CRCs. The DCT4 firmware similar to DC3 firm but it has two PPM parts, one for the donwloadable content(Gallery) and one for the permanent objects (like T9 dictionary and languages).

I working on the firmware modifier...
