switch 7160 from cingular to us cellular?
Howdy, I'm new. I have a cingular 7160 that I would like to change to us cellular. I have read a lot of posts and txts but can't seem to find what I need. I have the serial cable that comes with the 7160 (dlr-3p), and a friend of mine has a 7160 that's on us cellular. Is there a way for me to take an image or flash of his phone and apply it to mine using that cable? I know how to alter account details after that, but I can't get the cingular stuff off - please help!

i dont know much about TDMA / CDMA phones, but ill give u a link to a company in the USA that unlocks TDMA and CDMA phones
www.all4cell.com they also offer LED installs etc

well, thanks for the link but actually I got it taken care of today. I had already called US Cellular customer service and asked what I can do, and they said they can't help me, they don't accept phones from Cingular. But as a last shot a took it by the local US Cellular shop in town and explained and they tried to switch it over for me and it worked. So now I'm a happy user of a 7160
