    pc suite backup

i'd backed up my communicator using the pc suite, after which i had 2 reinstall my operatig system.
so i backed up the folder c:\nokia\ (from my pc) ; and reformatted the pc,

now after reinstalling pc suite on the new os, i have no way of making it recognize the previous backup i had made.

    copying the backed up folder to the new c:\nokia doesn't work;
it still states that "you have not backed up your communicator previously...etc "

how do i make it recognise old backups?

also, the file i specifically need to restore is my old calender database.
can anyone tell me which file it is?

    thank you

    the specific calendar files are
    c:\system\data\calendar and
    c:\system\data\almsvr.dat

The first file is the calendar itself and the second file is the alarm dat file.

This folder c:\nokia did you copy it from the commy to the pc or something? dont understand what this c:\nokia folder is for?

try this to get the pc suite to recognise the old backup
    Load pc suite
    control panel
    data location
and point it towards the folder that contains the backup

    see if that helps

You now the software sytem for the nokia is not a advanced system
    Make use of it.

1 Copie the prefert back-up (befor formating) to a save place
2 Make a new back-up from the new system (after reinstalling)
3 Copie this last back-up to a other place
4 Put the first back-up (befor formating) to the place of the second
    backup
5 Restore the first back-up (befor formating) on the nokia

I thing this wil work, Let my now of it is oke
