This has been around for ages if you look in the "Call Register" menu then call duration you can see how long the last call was. Also on the newer phone the info is displayed on screen it normally found under Call Settings then summary after call.

If you navigate to the "Call register" menu during a conversation on a Nokia phone it will show the conversation time "live" like on an ericsson. But you have to do it manually for every conversation.

hmm...i cant choose from the normal menu's when i have an active call i can choose like 5 things?? i have tried on 3330's, 3310's, 5110 and a 5510, and i can only select a few options and call register isnt one of them?? is there any way to add a clock that displays the time (digital of course) or have it automatically set the countdown timer to 15minutes when a call is made?

Nope. But one of the things you can choose during a call is a menu option called "menu". This will give you the normal menu you get when pressing the menu button during standby. All you have to do is navigate to the correct menu.
I have personally done this on 3310, 6150 and 6210 so I'm pretty sure it's the case on all nokia phones.

u can do that in some models which has two buttons for select such as 61xx , 62xx , 63xx , 82xx , 83xx
but it is possible in mobiles with one button in the middle 4 select such as 5100, 3310, 3330, etc

for my 3210 could get menu by pressing longer navi-button during conversation. maybe it was before upgrading it to v6.00.
