A 'jig' is referencing a 'plate' or 'template' used when servicing the phones 'Service Jig'. They are really for repair shops but could be used by the 'hardcore' hardware enthusiast.

It allows you to have the phone completely disassembled and yet still functional so that you can check all the test points for electrical and rf levels. They dont look like much for how much they usually cost but since the one for sale is OLD he should be offering it at a good price... Although there was no mention of the price..
