Hi!

Being the MCU sizes (and PPM) different, can i upgrade a 3310 v 4.02 to 4.45?

Thank You.

Hi ByteME

How are you? Yes you can get the flashes from http://brad.satelit.cz for 3310 version 4.45 and use Rolis 4.77 or later to flash it.

Then use -tek- Faid Calculator to make log for ur phone....reset eeprom by NokiaTool if u want to and finally unlock the phone if required.

I hope this helps

Hi there!

Thank You! I ask because the MCU versions of 3310 v3.24 and 4.02 are from 20-32 and onwards (versions newer than 4.02) are from 20-33. they are bigger and the PPM area is smaller, being the size of both (MCU&PPM) the same.

By the way, do you know what are the checkboxes (those not obvious) in nokiatool for? And in rolis what's the phone ram and all? Do you have a tutorial for rolis?

Many thanxs!

Hi ByteME

I dont have a tutorial for Rolis......its pretty straiaght foward to use.....easy.

The various boxes in the NokiaTool are for various setting in the eeprom...as far as I know. However, at this point, i myslef dont know the not so obvious boxes.

So thats it.

Addresses are no problem I guess because MCU & PPM Checksums are at the right location, same as all other 3310 versions. (1C.FFFA & 1C.FFFC)

Only the MCU part is smaller which it can make the PPM start $1.0000 bytes earlier as normal. (12.0000 instead of 13.0000 > V4.06)

The PPM adresses are written in the data of the MCU area so the new values will be used afterwards.

However: This does making only MCU upgrade impossible, only the MCU+PPM!

But if you make a 20-40 backup first there's still no problem if this doesn't work, just reenter the backup and phone's OK.

Please do inform us the Results
