View Full Version : nokia 3310 IMEI
I accidently gave my nokia 3310 a full flash (200000-400000) without making a backup. After doing this I updated the sowtware and changed the IMEI back (with Nfree) to its original nr. My problem is that Nfree only lets u change the first 14 nrs in the IMEI, so the last nr is still wrong, is there a solution for this? Because this would certainly fix my phone....

Yes u have a Last DIGIT CALCULATOR
Enjoy
Okay, the first 14 digits are 35010120773877 this program calculates the last digit as a 6, which is correct (as the IMEI shows on the back of the phone). But when I change the IMEI with Nfree to 35010120773877 (first 14 again), Nfree makes the last digit a 2. Now how do I change this 2 into a 6 in the .bin/.fls file...

Use a hex editor
i thinj in line 3F0032 (Hex) you can see the bytes
50 64 64 45 12 5D 12 05 <<< just lik this
it's your imei Xored by 65
take byte by bye from your imei and xor i by 65 you'll find the imei unencrypted
Good Luck
no use man... even if u get the right imei... it will have FFFFF EEEE on the sp lock. result will be no network, even if u calc the FAID. 8(

No problem with Faid
we have softs now that can calculate it!!!
=( indeed, both the IMEI nrs are right now, I also recalculated FAID, and the phone still has no network and reboots after about 20s...
What more can be wrong in the Eeprom part?

Hi Xone!!
How are you? Try reflashing it again.....but make sure...u have the correct flash this time....
Make an EEPROM backup....we know ur eeprom is corrupt possibly still.
No harm in trying.
Flash it.....and then Calc FAID.....and then reset EEPROM by NokiaTool035.
Maybe it will work
:)
Let me know

Hi All...
Dont ever touch/modify Eeprom!! you will get no signal. I was do that and I get no signal. You must have an Imei log file call NK_Phone.set from dejan if you wanna change your imei. The cost of it around 35 USD. You can send that file to the author, Mr. Dejan himself.

How do I reset the EEPROM with NokiaTool035?

What does "Xored" means? Can You tell me how to calculate IMEI number from hex that You did? Can You send me some hex editor that helps me get to 3F0032 (hex) line of the bin file.
Best regards.
I simply used the windows-calculator (in scientific mode), it has a Xor button. =))
Guess you can use any available hex-editor, if you really want I can sent you one...

I'm using Ultra Edit 32 to edit bin files. I can't find line 3F0032. How did You calculated Xor with windows calculator, i was trying to do that but something's wrong. Can You tell mehow You did it? And where the hell is line 3F0032 ??????
I took 2 digits at a time, my IMEI is 35 01 01 20 77 38 77, so i took 35 Xor 65=50, then 01 Xor 65=64, etc (like in mehdi's reply)
For the 3310 its 1e0162 (see http://nfree.gsmsearch.com)
