unloked s105 ok

unlocked s105 ok, did it very crude, by soldering 3 fine wires to pin 2, 6 and 7 of phone.
Connect 7 to ground.
Lead the 3 wires outside and connect to fbus cable of nokia 33xx 4 pins exposed use rx, tx and ground pin connected to s105 and voila it got unlocked.
apeldoorn all samsung unlocker 1.3 does not work for s105 must use http://www.thienlongtel.com/download/samsung/ software and instructions there but phone has only 24 pins and not 28. and no need for pin 9 and 10.

1.connect the 3 wires (2, 6, 7 (to cell gnd first) to nokia fbus cable rx, tx, gnd)
2.switch on phone
3.execute "IMEIS100_SVC.exe" in folder C:\Program Files\Samsung Electronics\SghQ100 Imei
4.press "Write IMEI" new page will open,
5.press "RD IMEISetting" and WAIT until "PASS" in top right corner, if program error then reverse rx and tx clips to nokia fbus cable, no harm to cell, it happend to me!
6.press "UnLock" and WAIT until "PASS" top right corner, Cell display wont change exept to pwr saving mode.
7.phone unlocked

The question I have is this:

What does this unlock? I've been all over a bunch of sites but it's still not 100% clear to me if this is a SIM Unlock or a WAP Unlock? Or is it both?

Forgive me for being careful, but I'm the guy that found out the very very hard way that flashing an S105 with S100 software doesn't work.

I used Original Samsung cable and I unlocked my S105, Just make sure the switch is on "Download"....if that is on "data" will not work with that software.....
By the way I am using same software

That good to know, as I have the cable - that what I tried to reflash the phones with.

However, is it a SIM unlock or a WAP unlock or both?

That software can unlock carrier and WAP but can not flash the phone........correct me if I am wrong

Well, the major reason for me for even caring is that I can't download MIDLets to the S105 on the T-Mobile network. I have access to AT&T and Cingular SIM's and Coverage in my area, and I've download MIDLets to other phones on AT&T's network.

So if I can unlock the SIM and WAP settings, then I should be able to download my MIDLets via AT&T... (as may not be known on this board, the S105 has had issues with downloading MIDLets and everyone blaims the Network; no one has confirmed it though, and if I can do this, it will help)

Reflashing was only a means to perform the above. It sounds like this software will unlock both, however.

OK, so I have the original OEM Cable from Samsung. When set to D/L I can confirm that it works.

My phone is now SIM unlocked - got an AT&T SIM in it at the moment and it's happen.

What I do NOT see are the WAP settings... I followed the instructions above; do I need to do another step to unlock/show the WAP settings?

I didn't get a cable with the S105; I bought it on eBay for some unholy amount of money.

I also got a USB based cable which works with EasyGPRS but does NOT have a Data-D/L switch.

You can try the steps above; I don't think you've writen anything to the phone until you click "UnLock" and I'm betting that it doesn't get past the "RD IMEISetting" step.

Got the cable off eBay - was like $80, but since I had a company paying for it, it wasn't as painful...

Much cheaper than the box's I've seen too - I have no desire to make this into a career (the unlocking of S105s) but had one to unlock, so this was a better way for me to go. Of course, had I know I would have had to unlock it to download MIDLets, I woulda went with the S100 in the first place.

If you want to unlock your phone, don't even bother with all this wiring stuff. Just send an email to:

[email protected]

State your Model (Samsung s105)
IMEI # (Serial Number)
Cell phone #
And a quick reason why you need it unlocked.
(Tell them you're traveling to Europe or Asia, and you need to use pre-paid sim cards)
They usually email within 5 days, I got mine the next day.

It really worked! I even checked it by putting in my old Cingular card and it read it! I got mine today and am SO happy. Good luck!!!

Oh, and I'm guessing this is only for T-Mobile users.

Not a clue, really - I've only ever unlocked the SIM lock and never had to write a new IMEI number to the handset.

Um, I didn't get a cable with T-Mobile's S105... odds are there's some pin cross overs that you'd have to do, which other people have posted here...

Um, because there is an OEM cable for the S100/S105? It just doesn't come with the S105, like it does for the S100/

Also, every "all" unlocker that I've seen for Samsung doesn't work with the S105. The only unlocker I've seen work for the S10x line is the one that also unlocks the N10x and Q10x. It's on a post somewhere around her.

I tried this ssa program and it does not work on the s105 and the 600 cable does not work unless it is modified. By using the plug only, cutting some off and useing the right pins.

No, I did not have the problem, just unlocked the S105 as described before, maybe if u have a black listed imei sell your phone to another country

Ok, Samsung OEM cable is different than the Samsung Data cable since it has the switch (upload/download)... now that this is cleared, let's get back to the question - does this software enable you to unlock the WAP too?
