Hello all.

First post and probably very boring for the professionals here :)

I've been trying all types of software to unlock a Nokia 3410 using an mbus cable and scrolling through the threads have tried the advised Rolis 1.8 Noktool.

However everytime I try the READ function, it gives me the following message:

'Failed to initialyse local mode'

I've tried the 4 options in setup, but still no luck.

Other software like nokall can read the phone, so I'm totally confused to what I'm doing wrong.

Save me and let me sleep!! please...

One last question; being the idiot that I am, I think I may have locked the GID 2 (won't accept regular sim). Have I killed the phone and is it at all possible to solve this problem?

Thanks very much!

P.S. I'm using Windows ME, if that's relevant.

hAVE YOU TRIED "interface auto setup" ?
I use rolis 1.8 for all dct3 nokia's and it works properly. Try Jordik tool v3.2.

Thanks for responding Lucas :)

Yes I tried this, still no luck. It says com4 busy (I think that would be my USB connection).
I'm wondering whether it's due to the fact I have a single 9pin com port and whether it would work on a pc with more than 1 port.

It's nothing to do with the 'ram read region' details in the options menu is it?

Thanks again

GATSBY!!!! You are one fecking superstar!!! I really, really appreciate your wisdom mate.

Used xpmobile 2002 service software as suggested and bang, I can sleep again. Forget the rest, this software is the tops.

I really had given up. (ok now for the emotional part).

No, but really; thanks very much. I'm grateful! :)
