View Full Version : 3390 and 3390b what's the difference? Is flash interchangable?

What's the difference between the 3390 (NPB-1NB v7.07) and 3390b (NPB-1RB v2.03)??

Also, can I take a full flash from the 3390 and write it onto a 3390b?

yes you can flash your 3390 to a 3390b but the only thing is you dont have the IM on the 3390 but it work 100%.

have you successfully flashed a 3390 to a 3390b? :confused:

i have been unable to and had given up. my phone wouldn't turn on when i flashed it with 3390b firmware v2.01. :(

I did a FULL flash (including EEPROM- bad???) from the 3390 to the 3390b phone then changed the IMEI back to the original, set FAID, etc... It worked 100% except I get no signal now. It comes up with the "Voicestream" logo but then no network signal whatsoever... HELP!!!???

I have been successfully flash my 3390v7.14 to my 3390b and I dont get any failure it is working 100%. but the only thing is I lost my IM menu but is ok because I dont used to much the IM. I used Rolis 7.78b06 to flash my 3390b and I used windows xp Pro. One thing more you need to install that user port if using a windows xp pro. You can get the 3390v7.14 full flash here just use the search in this forum...



If others can why can you. So please try again until you make it work. If you have any question just post here and I will guide you the rest of it.

You need to flash the virgin eeprom on it so you can fixed the signal problem and your phone should be no problem.

You mean the virgin 3390b EEPROM back onto the 3390b phone correct? Just want to be sure.

Yes you need re-flash your 3390 fls to your phone from 0x20000 0 to 0x3D0000 only after that you need flash the 3390 virgin eeprom from 0x3D0000 to 0x400000. use rolis 1.8 to fixed your phone change IMEI update faid make sure you check the box their if you update faid. and your phone should be work fine..

i was the one that posted the 7.14 firmware for the 3390 :D

anyway i think you may have misunderstood my question. i am unable to load 3390b firmware onto my 3390. as i understand it, you succeeded in doing the opposite. :p

the problem i believe is hardware differences, as i am unable to even powerup my phone after i have flashed it with a 3390b full flash. :mad:

what is the DSP ROM version on your 3390 gold? :eek:
