The Universal Product Support Tool (UPST) is a solution to programming devices from different manufacturers. The UPST product line consists of the UPST application and the UPST-UMPP Software Development Kit (SDK). The UPST is a Windows based application that uses Device Drivers from different device manufacturers to provide basic provisioning functionality such as software programming, Preferred Roaming List (PRL) programming, NAM programming, and resetting of devices back to factory default. The SDK, which includes the Application Programming Interface (API), Device Driver templates, and sample source code, contains all the necessary information required to fully implement and test the Device Drivers. The SDK also provides support for customer unique services such as ESN/MSL lookup and process metrics data logging.

Actually isnt a lot of it redundant because it can be installed as modules? So a lot of the files are duplicates?

Either way if someone has 100mb of ftp for you are you going to upload it?

I tried unzipping the file with winzip using the password of upst and I get a CRC error, you may have to upload it again.

If you are uploading from a DOS prompt make sure you type Binary before you use the put command to upload it.

Anyone else experience the same problem?

We will try it later from a faster connection..

If it has to be uploaded again you may want to use WinRar and put it in multi-volumes w/recovery volumes or make several zip files if there are multiple files.

That wouldn't have corrected the binary issue but could help if it gets corrupted on upload or download.

I got the file unzipped properly, for some reason winzip would unzip it with upst as the password also. With the correct password it worked however.

How do you get passed the hardlock however? I am running WinXP and I copied the two files in the system32 directory and that did not work, any suggestions? Also does anyone have dll's for the Nokia 6385?

you need to take the files in the WinTN2000XP folder and copy them to the folder named windows\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS, after this you must restart you computer

in the folder Universal PST\DLL's you will find all the dll's that i have, i don't know if the one you need is there, a couple of these dl's only work in windows 95

I will try installing Windows 95 on a spare computer I have and see if I can get it working with that.

Dont think any of those drivers will work w/6385 but of course give it a shot.
Thats a totally different generation phone...Even Nok's dlls are different for the 6385 vs other models..

Guess we will see if the emulator works on 98 w/o any problems as well.

Mine allows multiple connections also, if you are having problems disable passive mode on your FTP client....

I have two new phones, LG VX3100 and SCP-8100 and USB data cables for each of them, and I need to program this phone to lock to our private Base Station BSS for testing only. However I don't have UPST and those .dll files ( I learned this from previous post ). So please tell me where I can get it?

I used to program Kyocera phones for my company using QPST, can I use QPST for those phone? :-?

i have nokia 8587 that can only be found in korea...im looking for a software where i could upload ringtones and pictures on my phone...here in korea if you are a prepaid subscriber, theres is only limited features that could offer...i could not access there wap or should i say "nate" here in korea.i could not upload any tones and picture...im from the philippines..foriegner like me could not avail reagular line(monthly bill).

I have been trying and trying to find software that will let me read and write a prl to a samsung sph-i300 i think the software i need is universal pst by infosoft with the right dll or uni-pst i have seen it called. I have also heard of a samsung pst that would support my model of phone. I have downloaded alot of software that is no use to me. I just really need this program so i can get my phone working in canada.

I do have the software but looking for the dll for LG-LST250 and LG RD2030

I have an LG RD2030 from service provider 1 and a FWT LG-LST250 from provider 2. What i am trying to do is swap the lines and have proviser 1 on lg fwt and provider 2 on rd2030. I have UNICDMA to change SN, but doesnt work. I changed the min with interpst lite, min has been changed, need to know how to change the ESN ans also how to read and re-write the PRL. Also is anything else required? if possible a step by step guide for swapping the stuff and with links to the required software.
