DCT-4 unlock clip

I'm wondering about buying a DCT-4 unlock clip.

What is the best available? Cheapest? Will it work on all SW versions?

Please give me your recommendations...

before buying inquired if it would unlock 6310i v5.10
and 6510 v4.00?

Well the one I got does do 8310 versin 5.57 and above, so I guessed it could handle the extra lock on the new versions, tested it on my 6310i 5.10 with no problems. Check it out here (http://www.logosunlimited.co.uk/unlocking_nokia.htm) second product down (at time of typing)

For long run,adviceble to use DCT4 flash cables,isn't it.

I bought the flasher cables for around fifty uk pounds and as you say it is better as now i can unlock/flash/repair CS and a few other functions too ! Whereas the clip is limited especially if nokia change the unlock method again !!!!....the flasher can be re-arranged/worked around to take this in too account :) so making it a good investment anyway.

The clip in my opinion is for market traders trying to make quick money without the hassle of buying a laptop to run the software !!!

Will it reset security code too? And do someone know if there is any differences unlocking 7210 and 6610? if it unlocks 7210, will it unlock 6610?

DO YOU THINK ITS A GOOD IDEIA TO PUT PHONES THAT COSTS 300 TO 600 USD TO A CLIP WORKS UNDER 9 VOLT ??

If they make a product running 9 Volts, i suppose they are sure that it don't cause any damage to phones. I havent heard of anyone damaging phones... Have you?

I thought that i should buy a clip, because that would be a foolproof way to unlock a phone. (heard the DCT-4 software can cause CS). But know you make me a little uncertain...

As an update to my earlier mail regarding Monster Mobile & unlocking clip.....


I finally got a reaction from Monster mobile by putting a bad review on the clip on their website.
They contacted me to explain that they had server problems and did not recieve any of my queries/complaints. They claim that new clips are arriving which will unlock the required 6310i v5.10, and that they will exchange the one I recieved when this happens. I have replied to that I will be happy with that. After all mistakes can happen and servers can of course give problems ...........

A few days later they dropped me a line to say they have not forgotten about me and will be in touch as soon as new clips arrive.
Strange how this last mail was sent to me by replying to me using a mail I had previously sent them - One of the mails they claimed never to have recieved !!!.

So whilst I'm still hopefull that they will replace the clip, I continue to suggest caution when dealing with them. I shall keep you all informed of any developments......


Incidentally, whilst in the past I've always used the laptop a great deal for unlocking, I only bought the clip to deal with the newer gen dct4's, its so convienient and easy to use I find I rarely need to take the laptop out anymore, apart from the occasional software upgrade or 3315 conversion, the laptop has been made all but redundant by the clip !!

The solution for Ur CS problem is re-flash the phone, or let the service centre do it for U.
