Blinking character by PPMedit?

Hai....

Can i add blinking character and linefeed character by PPMedit?
I found this

.,?!:;-+#*()'"_@&$£%/<>\xBF\xA1\xA7=\xA4\x8B\xA5

in the languange section but dunno how to add the blinking character.May someone plz tell me bout this?

Since i started using PPMedit i feel tat it's much easier and simple than other programs.So i would appreciate for any helpfull informations.:)

In COMM section find the special characters and add at the end these ; /0A/01

and i think you can only add the \x01 with the
ppmedit but not the \x0A .why i say this because after i add \x01\x0A with ppmmanager,and i open the file with ppmedit ,i only can see the \x01 but not \x0A.
you can give it a try,but i never try it.

If ppmedit has trouble adding these characters, use ppmmanager instead :)

I have just try it and works fine!Juz find this >

what version of ppmedit did u use? coz i remember when i tried editing some texts in ppmedit i got contact service

but I have some problem here.. after adding \x01 \x0A using PPMEdit v1.0 my phone become No Network & Always Restarting. Anyone can explain on this and how solve step-step...

Does any one here know how to add blinking character & line feed to 3350. I have tryied it to 3310 w/ PPMEdit and its ok, But when I tryied it with 3350 it does not work.

how u do that? Im using 3330 v450 and when add \x01\x0A
after that SAVE and close. Open NFree v1.2 to Correct All PPM Checksums then save it as different name. Lastly I flash it using Nokia GT3 Flasher v4.78b then Update FAID, Clear SIM Locks and change IMEI using Nokia Tool v3.21

Its working but my phone no network & always restarting...

Try calculating FAID using faidmonster. Sometimes you have to use an external faid calculator to get the FAID calculation to work. Specially if you have made text changes in the flash. I'm not sure why though.

I'm sorry coz forgot to tell u all tat i tested this on 8250 and 8850 only.At first,i thought everything is fine coz i can write blinking words but the problems is when i send it to other phone (8250) it doesn't blink. :( But i havent test on other phone.Dun hv other models currently.I'll try it and let u all know my result.Wait for it.

The return character works right? It's only the blink character that doesn't work when you send it to another phone. The reason for this is that the message must be sent as Unicode. I'm not sure if the 8250 has unicode sending from phone enabled.

Yes yes.. I did it...!!!

I know the solutions now... for 3330 v4.50 CANNOT use to make modification on it like adding blinking & line feed character, i dont know Y. So I managed to use 3330 v4.16 and the result is working. Its great man...!!! lets take a look step by step here..

1. Open working fullflash file 3330 v4.16 with PPMEdit v1.0
2. Select "Languages" button
3. Under COMM select text like below.....

.,?!:;-+#*()'"_@&$£%/<>\xBF\xA1\xA7=\xA4\xB0\xA5

4. At the end of text add \x01\x0A and its should like below...

.,?!:;-+#*()'"_@&$£%/<>\xBF\xA1\xA7=\xA4\xB0\xA5\x01\x0A

5. Click OK then save it. Close PPMEdit then open g3n0lite
6. Open edited file then select "Fix All Checks" button
7. Save it as different name.
8. Open Nokia DTC3 Flasher v.4.78b flash it
9. After that open Nokia Tool v.3.21 and update Faid include IMEI. Done

Enjoy...!

I have tryied it to 3310 w/ PPMEdit last night and the result is good its WORKING. Just add \x01 \x0A and Fix All Checks using g3nOlite v6 and above. Flash to phone then update FAID using Nokia Tool... Thats all.

Hi,

Some versions don't work with the regular recalc methods.

For types like eg the 3330-450 U can only set Faid by Killing it. (DeadFaid)

Mr. Joox's ChkKiller does a good job, but the best result can be obtained with Mr.G3gg0's G3n0Lite16.

anyone here can tell me how to replace existing ringtone in 3310/3330 using PPM Edit ? I already do it by copy & paste ringtone in RE/RTTL format to "ringtones" section but still not working...

Mine can..., my 8250 or 82xx series , i can send blink text perfectly..... i'm using Pack K , and you have to write 1 chinese letter one, then type your message in ABCD , but it will only have 80 Character to Write... Because chinese is using unicode character to send the text, and it will blinking .....:D

i learn this , from what NokiaPhreak said ,that me must use Pack K in 82xx series , if we want send Blinking Text

to send blinking messages succesfully, u need to have chinese language on the phone? like on 3310?
I tried sending blinking characters, but in order for the receiver to view the blinking message, i have to change the message settings under common, change it to unicode...i tried this using lang pack b...i tried using lang pack with chinese, I dont need to change any seeting on the msg settings, i left it on automatic...:rolleyes:

yes you right, in 33xx we don't need chinese, to write blinking, because it automaticly support unicode character, like mine 3315 and i using pack F ... it seem that all pack in 33xx series support unicode character automaticly , except 3350 maybe , i have try in 3350 is seem to be like 82xx series need chinese letter....

maybe you are using RTTL with Special effect.....
i have same problem to with RTTL special effect in Ppmedit, but i use kxplore to convert it to RE, and it a little difficult to use it because i use demo version....

if you want the easy ways, just buy the kxplore from kontact ...ok
