GPRS connection with 3330

Can I connect my desktop computer to internet with GPRS by using 3330.

3330 have a modem.You can browse wap pages with 3330.I talked with a nokia technician and he said me that if u send me your phone,I can add GPRS capability to your phone.it means my phone`s hardware is enough for GPRS connection.The only requirement is software.My computer have enough software 4 everything.

Right the 3330 has a internal SOFTWARE modem that can't be access externally by a computer also a GPRS modem use a different piece of hardware/software again not access externally. So what you suggest is NOT POSSIBLE.

3330 is not a GPRS phone. It is a hardware so dont waste you time.

Nokia GPRS Capable: 3510, 6510, 6610, 6100, 7210, 7650,8310,
Ericsson GPRS Capable: T200, T39, R520, R600, T68, P800

WAP enabled phone is different in GPRS.
3330 is WAP enabled phone using GSM signal.
3510 is GPRS enabled phone using GPRS signal.

3310 have no hardware include to be a gprs useable phone.

First of all we discuss about 3330 not 3310.3330 have a modem that can connect internet with GSM connection.I talked with a nokia technician who works at Netherlands not with HAZIR KART sellers.I think they have not enough technical knowledge about mobile phones.They only know how to trick and stole our money.May be KnokKnok is right.GPRS connection requires different hardwares.But in my opiniuon no1 have enough technical knowledge about this (me too).All of us r newbiee.

How can u connect to internet it doesnt have an infra red and dont say conncting it with data cable(mbus/fbus) as 3330/3350 doestnt have modem which can be accessed by a data cable

Even 5110 and 6110/6150 can connect to the internet using FBUS (pure) cable. I've done that before. Using Nokia Data Suite you will have your phone to connected to DATA or VOICE. But remember the speed will be 9.6kbps for 5110 and maximum of 14.4 kbps for 6150 (if your provider gives you access to highspeed data). 6210 can be connected to the internet with much greater speed up to 43.2kbps but again the highspeed data must be switched on with the telecom company. If not you will have only 9.6 kbps which is very good in using MIRC. Pure FBUS cable cannot be used with 6210 and 7110 you must have DLR-3 type of cable.

Hope this things will brighten you guys.

If you want to connect your 3330 to the internet, better buy an old 5110 which is very stable (even it heats up) and I tried it continues up to 10 hours (charger is connected).

yes... 3330 have internal modem, as 5110/6110/6150.
7110 and newest phone don't need data suite, just connect cable and configure it as 19200 standard modem in your pc.

Speed doesnt matter for me as i am allready conected with dialup for less speed..

Does it possible to conect to net using 8210 /3350 i dont have any infrared port in mine computer.

You can use 8210 as a modem only by infrared because it doesn't support internet connection by cable.

I don't know for 3350:D

Facts:

If you use GSM Data for internet, you will be charged per minute.
If you use GPRS Data for internet, you will be charged per kilobytes send/receive.

Phones with IR (infrared) normaly has built-in modem which you can use to connect your IR activated phones (send contact, caller group), palm (sync, internet, etc.), notebook (internet, logomanager, etc.), PC.

For a great freedom, use Bluetooth.
no need to point to the unit unlike IR. It has a range of 10m radius even inside your pocket or briefcase. If you want to connect to bluetooth dont use Nokia since it reports that it is not good in implementing Bluetooth. Trust me I use Ericsson R520.

you can find nokia data suite 3.0(3.0a is ONLY an upgrade!!)
with kazaa, winmx, ecc. It's about 30MB.

But without a 51/61 phone i don't know if you can install nokia data suite!

If you are so sure it can be done and you HAVE A NOKIA TECH FREAK contact, why don't you let your 3330 be converted then show it to us here?

And FYI, WAP enabled phone doesn't need modem to connect to WAP. It's not the same as the PC need MODEM.

First reason is I can`t trust him.The second one is I have only one mobile phone,and I must use it.I do not have enough money to buy new one.Also I don`t have enough money to buy a GPRS enabled phone.Thats why I opened this thread.Thats why I waste my time to make impossible things.
