I have a 3210 which will flatten a known good battery in 3 hours.
The charger will only charge for a short time.
Phone gets hot.
What could be the problem.

Hello fellow Aussie!
I am currently in Ireland at the moment with my 3210 from Oz and I was quite shocked to find that when I had this problem (also vibrator not working) the man in the phone shop said i was mad and that model doesn't vibrate! After an irate conversation, including showing him the vibrate menu, i was escorted from the shop! I later learned that the european 3210 has no vibrator and only three games! These features can be installed though! Anyway the problem with mine was that cos the vibrator had ceased, it was draining power cos of the inabilty to spin the motor! A quick replacement of motor and battery back to 3-4 days running power!

Hope this helps!;)

@chunkhead

you know, all europeans are not that stupid like the ones you met in phone shop.
like when i went to phone shop, asked for data cable (fbus or mbus), they told me that 3210 doesn't have modem!
"does fbus or mbus depend on modem?" i asked them, they kept repeating "3210 doesn't have a modem"..

hell i wonder how that kind idiots can be selling phones.
they know nothing about phones really.

and, then there are some who knows, and sometimes it will take many hours just visiting phone shop.. and talking all about phones.

I think you'll find that most phone dealers are all legit, and don't visit forums such as these

Nokia never released a data cable for 3210, and it's not data compatible for use as a modem. Therefore they wouldn't know that one exists. 51/61 series etc used a modem, so they probably thought the cable was for that. I very much doubt they'd know about logomanager lol

What you have to remember before calling them retarded etc, is that they're only as good as the information they know. If they don't visit forums, then it's very unlikely that they know about flashing phones, modifying software etc is it?

Bossworld,

most sales people I have come accross in the high street phone stores have such limited knowledge of the product that they are selling that it is a miracle if a customer gets the right product.

To sell a product you should know a product, that comes down to training.

Most national/international companies have an ongoing training program but the training appears to be biased to extracting maximum dosh in minimum time & not product knowledge.

This is a management fault not a salesman fault, so it must be the management that are the retards:rolleyes: ;)
