VERY new to all of this, so sorry for the lame questions.
I want to unlock the above mentioned phone ( i take it this makes it simm free??) I have downloaded eprom tools v3.1. Now i need some cables......I have looked around the net and found that the unlocking kits (£14.95) which covers my model BUT it says in the discription that it will only do software version 5.31 onwards??????

What do I do??

Forget that unlock kit stuff! You need proped M/Fbus & Flasher cables! Try this site! This whaere I got mine awhile back! There great, and dont worry about the models they are saying will work, all the DCT-3 phones work! When you get them, download from here,
