View Full Version : WAVELINKER Bluetooth USB dongle?

Has anyone tried this bluetooth usb dongle, I want to know if its any good, because its only £27 from DABS.COM which i think is quite a steal for a usb bluetooth dongle, but i dont know if its worth the buy, anyone had any experiences with this and is it any good, i am not botherered about its 10m distance limit because that does not matter much.

That was a good find m8, i went to pc world today to either buy an infa red adapter or bluetooth usb, pc world did not have either of em,

looked on the net and found some, but they cost too much, £27 is a good price

Hmmm, It looks suspiciously like the one in this auction which claims 100% compatability with the 7650, Similar price as well except Dabs are much cheaper on the shipping!!!

Just ordered it from Dabs, it will be with me on tuesday the 24th december before noon, cost me £38.18 including the before christmas delivery which was an extra ten quid :eek:

hi just wondered if the wavelinker usb dongle actually works with pc suite. can i send applications to my 7650 with it. someone please email me on [email protected]

Mine's working perfectly too!!, darn cheap considering it offeres every posible function that you would want!, it even works perfectly controlling winamp on my laptop!!, Nice :D

Can you get yours to work with PCsuite, cos I cant get mine too, the bluemanager that comes with the dongle is all good but I cant browse the phones directories, did you install blue manager or did you just grab the drivers and get it to work with PCsuite that way?

I'm not sure cos i dont have pc suite or even know what it does!!,

Is there any where i can download it to try?

It comes with the phone, how are you able to browse your phone or connect to net via bluetooth through your pcs net connection, or do you not do that and just use the BT for file transfer?

Ahhh, havent opened any of the instructions that came with my phone until just now!!, I'm not one for reading them!,

Just found it and installed it and it doesnt appear to work at the moment, but i will have a play around and see if i can get it working

I've just ordered a Wavelinker from DABS too, the IRDA file transfer will not work through my TEKRAM 410u IR dongle. I can transfer from the PC to the 7650, but not vice-versa. So I hope the bluetooth solution will be successful.

Ahhh, havent opened any of the instructions that came with my phone until just now!!, I'm not one for reading them!, have you worked it out yet? iv installed active sync 3.5 and still no joy.
