Contact your service provider. It's obviously with them the problem lies. Nobody here can help you with that amount of info...

Ah that is where you are wrong! :p I asked a guy in another topic the same question when he replied to another problem i had, and i put just the same ammount of information, if not less! And he said "All you have to do is delete the voice mail!" And of course, he was right. So there! (I believe his name was Brutal)

Hmm. Well what you would have to do varies from operator to operator. Most operators don't even use the voicemail icon :/
lol!
just use flashsms to remove the icon. it was probably a joke from a friend of yours. believe me. it is a bug from nokia mobiles. you need to send a message to your mobile by flashsms. it works

you need to either save or delete the message, then the icon will dissapear. as long as you have a signal.

Crux2002: It isn't a bug. The voice, fax and email indicators are specified in the GSM standard (I don't remember version number). Look at the specification. It however just specifies the way of sending sms to enable/disable them. If they are implemented and what icons they show is up to each handset producer.
Also the specification specifies a misc indikator that Nokia have not implemented :)

hi,
I have a similar problem to the one you suggested to send a flash sms......I need to get rid of the voicemail icon on my 6230i, I have researched the net and learnt about panuworld. I have installed it on my comp, but I don't know where to go from there....
I do not have blue tooth connectivity between phone and pc. I have a data cable. I borrowed a blue tooth toggle from a friend of mine, the blue tooth software recognizes my phone but not the panuworld. Besides I havent figured out about the Com port setting.
could you help with detailed instructions?
Thanks
