Hello,

I have some troubles with flashing my Nokia 7110.
Originaly it had software version 4.84.
I have made fullflash backup and have flashed
0x20000-0x59000 area with mcu+ppm version 5.01.
I did not flash eeprom area 0x59000-0x60000.
After that, I have set right FAID.
All above I made with KNOK build 21 software.

But my software upgrade was unsuccessful.
The phone makes strange things - it is periodically reloaded
(for example, reload occurs at attempt to make call)
sometime NaviRoller don't works in menu, menu is very slow etc
I can enter PIN code and browse some menu item only.

I restored my fullflash backup and have all OK again.
Old backuped version works 100%.

But I still need in upgrade my phone software.
What I have made incorrectly?

Please, help.

Are you sure you have selected 'quick set FAID' option in knok?
If you don't you get no network and the phone periodically
resets.. Maybe try it one more time.. Plug your MBUS cable
in COM1 and do it once again. For me it worked after updating
my 6210 and setting FAID.

after upgrading to 5.01 try flashing the eeprom clean universal of 7110 (download it here http://wnite.cjb.net/ ) the start address is 00590000 and after that use mbus cable and calculate faid by rolis.
good luck..
