did you change the imei? if your full flash includes the eeprom area, it will retain the imei of your mates' fone.

yes i put the imei number off the back of the phone back in and reset the faid but i still cannot get a signal and when you try to dial out you cannot hear anything then the phone comes up sim card not accepted but i have reset the sp loxcks also and updated the faid.

use eeprom tools 3.1 and if not try using jordik and do a full factory reset including ui. remove battery then do a phone reset using sec code.

should not have any problems with this phone

I Have exactly the same fault as nok. I unlocked a 6210 for a friend and it has no signal. I also tryed The janners advice but no joy. I even tryed upgrading software to 6250 as I have successfully done with 3 other phones but still no signal. He assured me that the phone was not stolen but I am wondering if it is barred in some way? I must admit I was given the phone with no Sim so I never saw it working. Any advice would be most welcome.

Talked to a man who repairs our mobiles at work who says that loss of signal is an common problem with European ( Apparently the Asian ones are better) 6210s caused by a chip in the phone and even they have to send them away to get repaired .... Bummer!
