Every time I change a byte or 2 , the phone startes bitching about , contacting the service provider , thus making it impossible for me to change(make my own) PPM.
Does anyone have an idea what I have to do , to remove that checksum ?

you cannot do it.....
every string has it own checksum......
so we firts need checksum calculator for that....only then you can edit your ppm pack.....
the soft for that is allready made but only for sale.....
i dont sell it.....i dont have it.......

Calculation of these string checks isn't hard, it's just the sum of all the bytes in that part.

More info about that:

Creating a theoretic working modified pack isn't hard at all.

But that alone isn't sufficient for a working phone, there's something else....

Things like changing 'menu' in 'mune' never worked for me.
