New Laptop now, no ComPorts onboard!

My so-beloved flasher.com, only tool I use for flashing, now hangs on not finding the COM2 port.

EniWan can tell me how to solve?

Why's this check is done anyway?

TanX in advance; NokDoc

I will buy such a thing to give it a try.

Some Dos port-rerouting must be done I think because on a pc with only 1 comport the check also gives this error.

Maybe there's a hack-software way, it's a useless check?

I'll inform later; NokDoc

hi
you forget 1 thing - dejan uses LPT port. it is the operating system you use that causes this problem BELIEVE ME I fix PC's every single day of my life and assure you the o/s is the problem. do this:
download cwsdpmi.exe - save in flasher dir.
start laptop in command prompt only or start-up disk or restart in msdos prompt.
run cwsdpmi.exe
run flasher
hey presto

hope this helps

File didn't work, but the XP must be removed too so later I'll retry this in pure dos.

Still the question: Why is this check for Com2?

Doesn't it come from dejan.exe then?
