Hi all,
I am writing to ask has anyone used this Nokia service provider lock generator (http://www.astalavista.com/mobile/nosw.shtml), I could not get it working at all :-( Perhaps there is a newer version out there? Can u let me know if it works at all, thanx.
A friend of mine recently got a mastercode for unlocking his Nokia 3210 phone which is on the Vodafone network here in Ireland. It worked fine for him but would not work on any other Vodafone locked phone, I persume because the IMEI is different? Anyhow does anyone know if it will be possible to work out the algorithm they apply/use to generate the codes from the info I have i.e. IMEI and service provider code for Vodafone Ireland? Surely someone on here has some ideas?
I know this question has probably been asked before but what is the story with unlocking remotely? A guy I know who unlocks phones in Ireland claims to be able to unlock all Nokia and Motorola phones remotely, not only DCT4 but them all?? I was thinking that maybe he had a contact in Vodafone who helped him out but it looks like there are tons of websites advertising it, so what is the proper story? Does anyone know for sure.
Thanx for taking the time to read this and well done to everyone here, it is a fountain of information.
M :-)

Soz m8, but maybe the only reason people haven't replied to this topic is because they dont have an answer. Unfortunately.
As far as I know, the info on MASTER CODE generators hasn't really been available for free since the last GENERATOR for DCT2 fones.
The reason being something to do with the ALGO's & different tools & SW they use to generate these CODES!!

Swiftie,
Thanx man for the update. I'm just wondering which phones were the DCT2 ones? Is the 3410 a DCT3 or DCT4 phone? Do u know anything about the remote unlocking?
Cheers :-)

i know that the nokia 3410 is DCT-3
why dont u contact ur service provider and tell them u want the code, when you call, tell them the handset is more the 12 months old... thats what i did.. i had only brought my handset a few days earlier..... :)
Hope this helps

Whay would they just give the code to u after it was over 12 months old? Usually you would have to pay??

I think @ the begining the guys who offer unlock via IMEI use original nokia hardware Boxes, PKD-1 with set serial number, activation password for a certain network using PKD-1 with set serial number, WinPheonix with Winlock 4 installed... probably some cracked dlls because they can unlock any phone locked to any network...
These 15-digit unlock codes are calculated by the processor
inside the NK Boxes, not by the PC.
But now there "probably" exists a software only
solution because of the HIGH demand of this service.
& if ur fone is 12months old then the NETWORK can give u the code for free as u have served their Terms & Conditions for a year!

Yes UK Vodafone charge £30 for the unlock code if you ask for it.
the handset is subsised, and you "pay" for 12 months when you buy the handset.
the cost is to try to prevent you buying a phone on the network and getting it unlocked to use on another one....

Well unless if u got a 5 Figured amount to blow away on unlocking equipment or SW then it looks like all your going to do is keep hoping!!

orange UK will give you the code for £20, virgin UK will give you the code after spending £30 or more on credit. phones on BT cellnet bought from Carphone warehouse are NOT locked to start.
dct2 are phones like 2110, 3110, 8110..
dct3 are phones like 3210, 3310, 8210, 6210..
dct4 are phones like 3510, 8310, 7210, 7650..
you can BUY your master code from resellers online, cheaper than your network and no need to buy hardware/software. look around the net for that:)

Thanx for the info PICO!
But I think the only reason people are askin is because they think the REMOTE UNLOCKING will become like other meanz of unlocking! Basically either FREE or utter cheap!!
& this is the solution I'm talking bout. Not the service!

yep, but why pay 5 figure for solution when you can just buy calculations in bulk for next to nothing...
you think this will become free? maybe in a few years when we have dct6/7 but no one will care enough about it to realise then.
i have been studying unlocking/unlock world for some time and these things will not come out when people can still MAKE BIG MONEY from them :)
best regards Dj ;)

you think this will become free?
Not really! As I said! Other members are enquirying bout the solution coz they think its as easy & cheap as CLICKING on a mouse! ;)
But then again all u have 2 ask urself is why haven't we got DCT3 code generators out although DCT3 has been reversed so much that these days people dont even know wot 2 change n e more! But still I aint seen no Generator for DCT3! Unless if the code comes from NETWORKS! This is coz its not easy, nor is it cheap once Dejan released the unlocking solution then everything turned into a CABLE & a MOUSE! & If I wanted to have a MASTER CODE generated, for DCT4 obviously I would buy it from a person who has bought lots of logs! Coz then I ends up payin bout £10 to get my phone unlocked via Master Code!

Cheers guys! Well that sheds a lot more light on the subject. At least now I have a little bit more info as to how these guys are doing remote unlocking, with EXPENSIVE hardware. It looks like I'll be living in hope for a LONG time to come for a simpler solution :(
hi, by now i think there is no need to have the hardware as boxes are dissasembled...
software would still be very close to original maker though unless box was paid off...

Pico,
I'm not sure what you meant in your last post? Do u think there will be a software code generator soon?
Thanx :)

There's probably a SW solution due to the high demand of this service! But then again, this aint & wont be free on the net! Unless if ........................... Actually, nah never. Maybe until when Nokia release DCT5 & 6

Swiftie,
Sounds like you are holding back in that last post! U either have the software or know something more about it. Please tell if u do :)

yes there's an unlocking generator... but a friend of mine is too selfish to share it, he won't even share it to me!

Cool! Do u have any info. as to where he might have got it? Perhaps he coded it himself? Shame he won't share it with u :(
