Nokia 8250 - Help Please

Hi my Nokia 8250 has messed up with the contact services message.

Problem is, none of the Nokia centeres will touch it.

Can I reload the software to it ? And how would I go abot doing this as I'm BRAND NEW to this.

if you have flasher cable and mbus cable you can upgrade your phone and get rid of this message unless it is hardware problem

Thanks I have the Parallel Connector with Cable set for Nokia phones.

How would I go about doing this and what software is required to do it ?

then from menu use Wright funvtion to flash the new image.
download 8250 mcu+ppm from http://brad.gsmunlock.sk

Come up with a slight problem.

Rlois seems to lock up when I "Flash Write", it states power phone on shortly then stops responding.

I power then phone on as well and still nothing.

Any advice ?

1.connect the LPT flash cable to your phone,don't power it up first.
2.run the rolisv4.78b,load the 8250 flash file you want to write in your phone.
3.rolis will ask for power on shortly,it mean you need to power on your phone now.
than it will start erase the phone and program it agian.

Tahanks - however I tried this and it seemed to have locked up - how long should this take to re-load to phone ?

lockup,you mean the rolis is not flashing your phone.it seem like some thing with your cable.what cable you have,is it a LPT port cable with dongle.have you ever flash a phone with your cable.

it depent on you phone,some time take 5-15 minute to program a phone.

I purchased an LPT FLasher kit - is this not the same ?
