3315 info

how can i tell if my 3315 (3310 upgraded) has the larger memory by looking at the board. i recently upgraded a 3330 that had more contacts to a 3350 but the 3315 i have has the same extra contacts. i tried to flash 3330 firmware but the phone would not have it. i read in a old thread that it was possible to do this but how can you tell if the phone has the capabiltys to upgrade?

Not sure, But I guess u have to open your phone, remove the RF protection, and take a look at the chip names

U gotta find the flash chip, not sure what names will be mentioned on it though...but if u find it...search the characteristics and see if its 2mb or 4mb

only the 4mb FLASH ones can be converted to 3330/3350

(memory is always 2mb, thats the K6Fxxx chip, unless 3410 that has 4mb)
