the problem is solved changing the options of compatibility of the noktool.exe, and it is placed in way emulationof win98 or winMe.

right click in the mouse. ;)

If you are using WinXP, then rightclick at the rolis.exe file, and push the "compability" button! Select compability for Win98/ME, start userport and start Rolis! Works like a dream... :)

But flashing with Rolis Flasher don't work in compatibility mode.

(that's why i didn't try compatibility mode in Rolis tool at first - forgot that it was only the flashing that didn't work in rolis flasher)

hmm, autoswitch really sucks, rollis need a pure MBUS cable.

schawntz the d-load link for rolis nokia tool on your site states that it is version 1.9 b002 with imei changing capabilaties when it does not... just thought id point it out...

I have a problem when I try to flash a 6210 phone.
I have upgaded the software in my 6210 from a erlier version to 5.36 version. But wheh I've tried to set FAID, the programs I've tried cannot init. the phone. The phone is starting but I still set FAID because is reseting...
More than this, when I'm trying read the phone, it cannot be done because the flash program (NOKIA DCT3 Flasher by rolis v. 4.78 build 006) get me "Whait for boot counter accept (Phone TX=High)".
If I try to write get me the same screen and after that get me "Timeout (check cable or mobile contacts)".
This is only for this updated phone, because I've tried with another 6210 and all is working perfectly.
I've used IC 74HC04 (not 74HC14) for flasher.
Can anyone tell me what is the problem and if can be repaired this... :evil:

right click on nokia tool... click on properties... properties window should open up... click on the compatebility tab... set it to run under windows 98 / ME hit apply... ok ... ur done... I've noticed that on win xp pro the txt in the about section comes all messed up... in the form of some txt and bblocks... not much of a problem tho as it all works...

p.s. userport is not needed for nokiatool or mbus related programs... only required for programs which use the LPT1 port...

rolis nokia tool does support auto switching mbus/ f bus cable... just use the auto setup function whilst the fone is connected... its the little lady bird and spanner btton if i'm correct

ok... heres a step by step on what to do...

extract rolis nokia tool to your desired location... e.g your desktop for example...

move your mouse pointer ontop of rolis nokia tool and right click on it...

this should cause a menu to come up...

from that menu select the properties option...

after selecting the properties option, a properties window should open up...

at the top of the properties window there will be 3 tabs...

General | Compatability | Summary

click on the "Compatability" tab...

once done, there will be a section with the label "compatability mode"

in this area there will be a tick box with the text "Run this program in compatability mode for:" next to it...

ensure this box is ticked... if not just click the box once...

this will then enable you to use the drop down list directly under it...

from this drop dwn list select "Windows 98 / Windoes ME"

after you have done so... click on the "Apply" button at the bottom of the window... and then on the "ok" button...

all shoud then work fine... [ hopefully ]

noktool v1.9 works fine with me under XP however there is no option for changing IMEI number. noktool v1.8 does have one. i wonder why the author deleted the option. or am i late on news that the bug has already been fixed?

rolis removed the imei change function from his latest release due to imei changing being illegal in many countries...

go to:

start> control panel > user accounts > change account > select your user name > change my account type > select computer administrator [if possible ]

if not then there must be atleast 1 administrative accoutnt on ur computer...

who ever holds that account will have to sort it for u...

however rolis doesn't seem to like ati radeon drivers and there fore site there like a dud...

since 1.8 sucks! it seldom unlocks my phones. however 1.9 easily unlocks my phones. so i have to use 1.8 to change IMEI number and when it fails to unlock my phones, i use version 1.9.
