I can't understand why in gen0lite I get something like "id: 0x0038" and not the actual name of the menu, any ideas?
I'm loading a 5510 fls file...

This is interesting... I can't seem to find the correct security menu to jump to. There are the menus:

Security settings
Security settings
PIN code request
Security level

but which one should it be pointing to? there is no 'phone security' menu as in the example :(

I'm still not having much luck with the 5510 and this... I type in the pin code and it just freezes. humm, I dont know if thats anything to do with the fact that ive got the led fading or not, what do you think?
I'm Flashing with rolis and updating the faid :(, apart from it freezing the actual phone works fine

but i have a problem....
i couldnt find security level on my 5110 v5.30.....i just add into your soft message header,inbox and phonesecurity...but after flashing there is no modify...here is txt..

I forgot to mention that you have to fix checksums first before flashing it to your phone.

use chkfixer or g3n0lite to fix checksums

this program is not for adding sec code on Inbox only.
it is for adding sec. code on the whole messages menu.
you need:
1) Messages Menu Header
2)Messages Menu - not Inbox, the one above the Messages Menu Header.
3) Phone Security (for 51/32/33 etc.) or Security Level (for 82/55 etc.)

click the Help!!! to see example.

Yeah ive tried both to fix the checksums and that goes ok - then I flash to the phone, and either it freezes when I press ok after typing in the pin or it goes crazy and displays random stuff then restarts - very weird :( its only happening when I enter this security code so I reckon the checksums are fine... possible bug in the software? :confused:

Try reading your edited flash file in g3n0lite.
After Messages Menu should be Chat Menu.
if that is the new order of your menu then you have successfully patched it, if not then try sending me your flash file so i can review it.

Another thing is, did you Kill the MCU & FAID of your phone. As far as i know, 5510 MCU Checksums & FAID should be killed first before editing.

Ok... thanks for your help so far :)
I opened in g3n0lite and the chat menu is in the right place.
I then fixed the checksum and made sure the MCU & FAID were dead. Flashed with rolis then updated faid with noktool.
I then boot the phone up, menu>messages>security code I enter "12345" press ok and it dies on me :confused: or simply freezes.
I've tried changing the security code but I get the same thing happening in the messages menu.
Its also restarting when I try and change the level of security. Would you like me to send my flash file?
Weirdly enough knok won't let me do a full factory reset - I'm not sure if this is related...

No need to send your files, I already know your problem.
Follow this procedure s and everything will be alright.

1) Get a clean mcu+ppm
2) Kill MCU Chks & FAID
3) Flash it to your Phone then update FAID.
4) Check your phone if it has signal & if it is working.
5) Flash your phone with your modified mcu+ppm.

No need to update FAID this time.

Hi eleoson!

I follow your instructions, but when i flashed it to my phone, it freezes when i entered the security code...
Sorry i've got 3210 and tried many times and many ways to do it, but allways the same result: No restarting, but freezes...
It may be that i'am the lamest people ower the word, but it don't works for me...

Please help...

open Knok then click Phone Settings, choose Reset All (UIF, SCM...)

Maybe 3210 is not supported, for this great soft, like NFader...
