how can i create SPECIAL flashes that won't erase the memory (phonebook, messages, logo, bookmarks etc) when upgrading using a cheap flasher?

i've noticed this on a 3510 v3.37 mcu:

normal flash file:
A2000000D10000000CC818010000000100FFFF010100000159FFFF016D0000017E

special flash file:
A2000000D10000000CC818010000000100FFFF010100000159FFFF010000000100

that's the only difference i saw... i tried it on a 3510 v4.24 flash file... i've changed
A2000000C90000000CC810010000000100FFFF01010000017E to
A2000000C90000000CC810010000000100FFFF010000000100

but my fone won't turn on anymore!

can anyone here make a SPECIAL flash file?
please share your knowledge... thanks!

there are special flashes, otherwise i won't be able to compare two files.

these special flashes won't erase the fone's saved datas when flashing with a cheap dct4 flasher.

I think that you have to upload theese missing stuffs from the original support cd from nokia (bundled with the phone). Maybe there exists a flash that includes this extras, but this is not likely to exist. Maybe check original phoenix flashes by size.

-The flash itself does not erase anything. (rather does not include)
-I suppose some of the .mid ringtones also have gone.
