I dont know exactly is it a bug or something else but when ever i patch netstrenth and use any of bar graphic the graphics works proper when i get 50% 75% or 100% network
But when i go near to Network station or broadcasting station.
the animated network goes away it shows me blank to get it back i have to restart the phone.
So i suppose the Places where the network is verrrry high the graphics bars doesnt work ......

I have tryied this on 3310 and 8210.... with g3n0lite v1.7

Same thing for me. After Patching the net strength on 3210 it drains the battery in half a day!

I looked in NetMonitor - instead of connecting and maintaining the connection, the phone indicates:
BCCH
CCCH
SDCC
BCCH
SDCC
BCCH
CCCH

and al the time the same....

try looking at test 23 of the net monitor. the phone consumes battery power almost 3 to 5 times when added with the net strength patch

I think it's because the phone tries to connect to the network 3 to 5 times more often then before the patch.
It shows all the time SDCC (test 1)

The meaning of SDCC (after NetMon FAQ on mwiacek.com)
- establishing connection
- user verification
- Location Update executing
- Assigning to traffic channel
- sending SMS

IMHO the phone consumes more power when it's in this mode then when it's in CCCH (standby mode - nor transmit nor obtain data or voice). I read something about this in SIEMENS instruction or doc...

I used a 6.00 version Language Pack B
but i first edited menus
and then injected the slideshow

Then i saved the file, reopened it and injected your patch for network bars (diagonal lines moving up).

I'll try this on a clean 6.00 version and then post a reply, But the interest is not to add netstrength and nothing more....

P.S. I know that theren't a virus in the file, but AVP's monitor denies me the acces to ver 1.7 saying that it found an unknown virus Type_Win32 in it. This drives me crazy :( .

P.P.S. Now i unchecked Code Analyzer and it no more blocks the file.

Some vertical waves (4 frames) - seemz it workz.
- i'll test it for 2-3 days since full recharching.

Maybe it's coz of number of frames...

Nope... It still makes more SDCC's then a normal version

BCCH - 2sec
AGCH - 1sec
SDCC - 4sec
BCCH - 1-2 sec
AGCH
SDCC
BCCH
AGCH

wow.. after 5 minutes it's again CCCH

i have the same problem before with my 3210 v6.0, the battery drains easily beacause the phone seems to continously search or transmits signal. if you can't wait for g3's solution, try using v5.36 and your problem with the net strength patch is solved. besides, i don't see any diffrences using this lower firmware version. you'll just have to mod your flash from the start.
