help me on downgrading

When i upgrade nokia 3310 to nokia 3315, there's a problem. It keep rebooting and i can't downgrade it back. After rebooted, it will says Sim Card not Accepted. Please help me with this. What's the method to downgrade it and upgraded it to nokia 3315. I feels hang here.

Have u tried to quick set FAID in knok ??? -

How did u upgrade ??? by flashing or just using knok ???

If you upgraded using knok - all you have to do to downgrade, is "restore full factory settings"

but the flash file different from that, wondering, what's the problem, i'm headache now, how can i solve this? I can't downgrade it and can't upgrade it, it's like half pass dead, heh

i used the same method. it worked fine for me. have u tried setting up the FAID? use FAID calculator by tek... that will surely solve your rebooting problem... if it will not still work, try using the B-phreaks logger... and set the FAID, it might also help

and, do not downgrade your phone, just set the FAID, and everything will be fine.

and another thing, there's this Nokia Tool i think by rolis, the 1.9 version, you could easily upgrade your 3310 to 3315 without setting the FAID or anything (even the resetting which erases all my files in the phone, esp. the scores in the game!!!!)

my nokia 3310 already upgraded to nokia 3315, when i use rolis 4.78 to read the flash, i can't save them, even when i wanna write them, it says change READ_ONLY file attributes. How? I can't downgrade it and the cellphone keep rebooting and i insert sim card, when it rebooted once, it will appear in the screen, Sim Card not Accepted. :(

it seems that you have the attributes of your flash file (in windows) as READ ONLY. try doing this: press and hold the Alt button on your keyboard and double click on your mouse (left click). you can now flash your phone with that flash file.

as i've said, why downgrade your phone. i think the reason why your phone rebbots after a few seconds is that the FAID (flash authority ID) has not been updated. try using eeprom tools to update FAID. you can search for EEPROM Tools by Bphreaks on the net to do so, and use MBUS cable in this operation. connect your phone to the cable and click the magnifying glass. that's it, you are done.
