maybe because u r in an area where ur subscribed network has a very weak signal but another network is present but you have not subscribed to, so when u lose signal with one and receive the other it will allow only SOS calls, check on ur cell which network ur receiving in SOS mode only and subxribe to them and maybe u need to unlock ur phone too.

There is nothing wrong with your phone.
When you see "SOS Calls Only" you are in an area were the reception for your network is not strong enough, but is strong enough for another network on which you are able to make emergency calls only.

In marginal locations I have found that when I remove the phone from say a trouser pocket, I may get the message "SOS messages only" (implying my network is not available but another one is).
However, moving the phone to my head may be enough to increase the signal strength sufficiently. All I have to do then is wait for my phone to be recognised (may take a couple of minutes) or force it to search for my network and I can then make a call.

i buy it in Koracell(name of company) and it cost (here in croatia )
11€
and i change it with hot air (rework station)
but first before u change it tell me did u try antena conector
and antena
if u think that it is not ok then wire it just to be sure
see here(from point 1 till point 2)
i was losing signal and get sos calls only when phone was in my pocket or something and then i wait for about 3-4 sometimes 10 minutes untill i get network
the reason was(in my case) broken antena conector.i didnt see it when i opened it couse it was broken under it.
if ur still get only sos then change pa

r u actually using the profesional rework station or can other heat guns work too? Can u explain how to replace the chip with a heatgun, any tricks? TNX

what kind of heat gun u mean.i have weller pyropen but it is hard with him to remowe the chip.i have rework station too and i use it because it is easyer to change chips
i heat the chip and board around him and remove him.then i clean the board with wick and then put some flux and then chip on his place and then heat it until chipstick on .

I mean hot air heat gun, kind of air blower with hot hot air, that is much cheaper than a rework station. But I guess it is time to buy a rework staion, any one knows a cheap and reliable source to buy one?
