Hi,
simmilar to Windows, Symbian needs "swapfiles", too. These will be createt at drive D:.
BUT: After rebooting the phone, drive D: will be deletet automaically and complete.

Service: If you have FExplorer (the freeware filemgr.) you can find at the "options" >> Restart.

Do this and the phone boots - WITHOUT the pin code question and its very fast.

This is the best way, to "clean" the memory.

Hi,

oh, that is a second thing. My opinion:

Not so strong as windows, but a little bit too, it is a basicly a prob, to install - and DEinstall progz & gamez. Regulary all installed filez will be removed - BUT in some cases (old progz, bad coded progz, progs perhaps for an another OS version or an another phone) it cut be, that small filez leave at the drive C.

There are two solutions: We get "Norton Clean Sweep" & "Norton Win Docter" to repair such probs OR we must remove this "dead filez" (in german: Dateileichen) by hand. But the prob is, if you delete the "wrong" file, you kill an another App or - the "worst case" Symbian OS.

One solution is, we all get a file structure from a member, who is good in unlocking and has a m-bus-cable. He (You?) can intransitive (record), what files are on (at?) a virgin firmware 4.39 is. This can looke like an Explorer or a list with folders, subfolders and files.

Using this help, we canot delete OS-files. Files from other progz perhaps - but this is not so important (you haver only to reinstall it).

The final solution: Mr. Peter Norton. Has anybody a good contact?

@wenmi: i know that it's possible to reset the phone without any tool... but did u already tried this? - i have done that! i could see that all apps i had installed still were in the phone.
reseting "without" any prog will only reset your settings but Caloocan wants to clear "dead-files" so he should try SystemTools

Every domain has a bandwidth limit. A transfer rate limit. Mine is 2.5gig.
Undortunately, ive already used that up. Its how the servers control the flow of data from domains bcoz internet bandwidth really is an expensive thing. Its no joke actually.
Lets take franchesca as an example, i have a 300MB space, 1000 business emails to give out and a 2.5gig bandwidth limit. All of these costs 1800. If i were to upgrade the package to lets say 5.0gig limit, i think they would charge me prices ranging from 3000 to 5000. My estimate, correct me if im wrong.
