5130: How to get rid of "1" icon on top left corner of display?

Hi everyone,

just got a 5130 that displays a number "1" icon on the top left-hand corner of the screen, right next to the signal strenght bar.

I want to get rid of it. Quick.

Had the same problem with my 3310 months ago (read the thread: http://nokiafree.org/forums/showthr...p?threadid=8480 ).

This time though, Nokia Profile hasn't worked at all, no matter how many times I try.

My service provider DOES NOT support two lines in one SIM, so there's absolutely NO WAY that there's a second line in my SIM.

Has anyone got any suggestions for me to get rid of this "1" icon? It really irritates me!!

Hmmm you sure you havent activated ALS in NkProfile?

Make sure it it definatly unticked

Just won't go away no matter what I do with NKprofile.

Also, it won't get any operator logo from Logo Manager. It beeps when I click on the "send" icon but nothing changes in the phone's screen.

Any ideas? (cable seems to be working, I mean phone does beep and everything...)

Hmmm pass

and for logoamanager make sure its showing the correct network at the bottom (if not choose your country and network from the settings menu)

I'd checked and my operator code (724 31) did show at the bottom of the Logo Manager window, so there, another mystery!

I had this problem with a 3210.

I think it can be solved by pressing and holding down the # key in standby mode.

If you have a manual, it should tell you in there about phone line in use in the settings page.

Hope you get rid of it.

Thanks but I already did that, it just changes "1" into "2" even though my SIM doesn't have and doesn't support two lines.

How about just using factory reset in Nok tool???
Or reflashing the fone????

Tried both.

Full reset using Knok, Rolis, Jordik...

Plus I re-flashed the phone with several firmware versions, including its original backup.

I didn't have an EEPROM backup though, so I'm now struggling to find a virgin 5130 EEPROM, ROM4.

Still, the problem persists and any help is appreciated!

no need to reflash..
goi to setting, then reset full factory settings, enter sec. code. then youre done..

and u'd better have empty unuseful space there instead of '1'
open ur lcd disply and cut off corner of plastic polarisator (not sure how it's called in english correct me if im wrong)

here i have a way for u ... might use for u ....
i have same problem with u after i'm falshing my 3310 ... for the first time a number (1) was display on top .... i guess same problem with u.

i suggest for u ... u edit back ur flash file using PPMEdit by Tnp. and click on bitmaps. then u can edit all display picture for that flash file. so just erase that number (1) and save it as editing file and flash back ur 5130 ... ur problem will settle ...

then flash it again... it happens when you use 5130/6130 and come models which were modified... You have a 5130...

So this 5130 has been modified? But in what sense?

I'm mean it's just been purchased and as far as I know it's only been unlocked nothing else...

Just a crazy idea :)
try to insert other SIM (other provider) in to your phone, this helps me with removing FAX icon in 3410 :)

PS have you solved problem with Contact Service in modified flash in 5130???

just edit the 1 bitmap using flseditor/ppmedit... that will do the trick.. tried it on 5130/6130... it works 100%

then make full factory reset while it is on line 2
then tell me what is up plz

i think the problem not on the phone/flash
it is on SIM card...

it is the result of "Reset all" function of Knok i think...
