DCT4 Flash PROBZ

HI

When i trying to flash my 3510 and other DCT4 prhones, i got " invalid model descriptor received" What does it mean? and what do i make wrong?? Plz Help..

i have also receive such like that problem and some of time i have recieved box not fount and some time my dongle working proparly
i think so now every body dont like 2 shear their knowledge
i am sure that alot of people have dct4 imei calc but they dont like 2 shear it i dont know why

Thanks for your advice.

I have been on your site, and read the flashing tutorial.

But I still get the error message “ Invalid model descriptor received”

What do I make wrong? Do you think it’s my Dongle? Or it’s my Win XP?

But I can flash DCT3 phones… and I use userport.

if u plann to stay in the unlocking buisnnes use win 98 ONLY

search the net for new fia files...this is your problem....

Have you tried the newer fia files?

also when it ask for power on try plugging in charger to phone instead of pressing on/off button.

would be interesting if you could try on 98 instaed of xp.

no offence but why you press power button or plug in charger? factory dct4 flasher needs neither as power is taken from usb and boot sequence is started by use of the btemp line INSIDE the flasher box (like 3210 powers itself on when flashing dct3).
your problem may be:
win xp---definetly, install userport if you havent already
anti virus software---dissable all anti virus software then run flasher software
fia files----go to dans site and get latest fia OR if you are not working on a new phone, you need to use the OLD fia files
parallel port setup---set to ecp/epp or otherwise bi directional setting.

Thanks for you all, who wants to help me..

I still get the error message, “ invalid model descriptor received.” Also after new FIA files, and installing userport.

But the problem was Win-X, why can I flash DCT3 prones, without any problems.?

When I use dongle without 3510 or any DCT4 phoneadapter, I did not receive the error massage, When I plug the adaptor to the dongle, than I get the error massage..
