Could someone tell me where I connect the RED & BLACK wires on a savvy data cable to unlock TCD128/ba.

I dont mean making a cable,I bought a datacable which has the normal connections on but it also has a RED & a BLACK wire two extra. What would I connect them to.

They are for a 9 volt battery

Can I just use the cable without the Red & Black wires to unlock or must I use a 9v batterry,because if I just use the cable without the two wires no software works.
