Hi

i bought a mbus/fbus cable from logosunlimited.com and its auto switch.
It works fine with LogoManager but that uses FBUS, but it doesnt work with Eeprom, NC Calc etc. which use MBUS.
I really want to unlock my 3310, and change IMEI etc., anyone got any ideas? is there anyway you can achieve this with FBUS?
or is there any software which will work with auto switch cables? ive tried loads of different software, with no luck :(
Please help

TIA

You have To use a Fbus-Mbus cable with manuale switch or a simple Mbus cable ( Eeproom Tools work only with Mbus cable not autoswitching Fbus - Mbus cable )

Good luck

i having the kinda same problem with u also.. for me,i think f/mbus is not a really good cable ler... purely mbus or purely fbus will be the best i think...

Yeah, i agree with you firecrac

Is there any way i could just like open up my cable, and cut the two F/BUS wires, so it would just leave the M/BUS and grd one? would that work? or would it just screw up the whole cable?

Hi. I had that same trouble too. What I did was

I cut the cable and assuming that you found 4 wires colored:

white
black
blue
red

I shorted the 3 wires. white, blue and red which is the Fbus Rx, Fbux Tx, and Mbus but leaving the ground alone.

This works well but depending on the configuration of the cable you have.

Sometimes it has only 3 wires, Black, White, Blue. White for Fbus Rx, Blue for Fbus Tx/Mbus, Black for ground.

note: color of wires may vary

Hope this helps

:)

At first, we should learn that this modification works or doesn't work with eprom tools etc. When it works with these tools, we can do this mod.

u have to have a detailed schematic of ur cable first, then only can make it into pure mbus cable,as i know, mbus n fbus just diff with one wire shorted to another.. but i dunno detail in it also.. find some expert for help in here.. n max232 ic dint work compatiblely with many s/w in the market..
