Upgrade mcu/ppm without logger using nfree?

hi, stumbled across this solution to upgrade mcu/ppm version without logger,
does this work? and will the phone work 100% afterwards?

This solution doesn't work in 51xx&3210&61xx
You must have :
1-Nokia flasher v1.0 by Dejan Kaljevic + tia files + f_loaders + ucables.com shell (download:gsmgods.net/free-nokia-e.htm)
2-Nokia flasher cable
3-NFREE 1.2 (download:nfree.gsmsearch.com)
Note : Nfree v1.2 is the best free calculator for flash files and other beta versions such as nfree 1.3b3 Alabaster not good)
4-Full MCU & PPM flash file for your phone
Note : This solution work only on new nokia phones ( 33xx,62xx,82xx,71xx,83xx,88xx)
Note : This solution tested on 8210
Now you can start...
1-Read full backup (MCU+PPM+E2PROM) of your phone and save it to backup.out
2-Write new MCU & PPM to your phone ( you should not overwrite EEPROM )
3-Read phone full flash (MCU+PPM+E2PROM) and save it to full.out
4-Start NFREE 1.2 and open full.out
5-Go to "Changes" menu and click on "Correct Eeprom CRCs"
6-Go to "Changes" menu and click on "Correct MCU-Checksum"
7-Go to "Changes" menu and click on "Correct all PPM Checksums"
8-Save fixed file to fixed.fls
9-Write fixed.fls to phone
10-Reset phone to factory setting
11-Now your phone is working correctly by new mcu version...

Hi there!!

I have a 8210e which was blocked on the orange network. I tried to unlock it by using DarkLemming Shell Version 2.14b. The firmware version on the phone was a 5.28. Now the phone is dead, it doesn't even come on. I tried to unlock it using the partial again and again but no luck. Its dead. I also read your instructions on the forum and tried to do all that with NFREE but no luck. NFREE has problems calculating checksums etc etc in my opinion unless I am doing something completely wrong.

Are the full flashes available on net same as MCU & PPM files or r they different? Where can one get these files if they are different?

I get 'Erase Flash Error' when I try to write to phone in Dejan (DarkLemming Shell 2.14b). What is the solution? Also while using NFREE 1.2, when I open a file, i get 'eeprom features disabled, and PPM features disabled etc etc. why is this? Can u please be kind enough to tell me a step by step instructions on how to get this 8210e up and running again. Thanks

guys..........DO NOT REPAIR PHONES WITH MCU AND PPM FILES IN ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
when you repair a phone.......flash only mcu in it and it must be same version........ or if u know which PPM pack the phone has then u can flash it with the same version and same language pack.....otherwise DONT FLASH IT!!!!!

here are some flashes that can repair your phones...............
use only theese....................and ONLY theese because theese dont include PPM PACKS!!!!!!!
