Ok, I'm just about to try and flash my brothers 3210. Since it has an EEPROM seperate from the flash mem, is there anything special I should know before I flash it?
I head that you can only flash the same SW version as what is on the phone. Is it possible to kill the 3210 permanently, or can it be saved with a backup? Experienced 3210 flashers - am I just worried about nothing?

yes you are worrying about nothing......with these phones you can kill them but not permanently (unless you run over it with a steamroller that might do it) so get flashing and if it doesnt work then flash the backup (oh yeah make sure you do one cos i guarantee something will go wrong, it always does!!!)

Hi!
In the Terms and conditions for guarantee of Nokia Corp. U'll lost even your guarantee if you connect any cables that are not licensed by them (Well, and of course they don't sell any Flashercables) I even thought a while about flashing my 3410, finally I did, but in year 2003 guarantee for an 3210? Well.
btw. Every time U flash your Phone it's protocolised in the EEPROM.

I doubt hes worried about the guarentee on a 3210 ;)
Take a backup that way you have an escape clause if anything goes wrong :)
Nokia have never been able to tell that ive had a cable attached to my phone ;)

Thanks very much for the info guys. I was really worried there for a second that since I couldn't reprogram the eeprom, that it would be much more dangerous to flash the 3210. I will be taking a few backups though.. just to be sure.
:p
Thanks again!
