3330 v4.50 big problems, Please help!!

hi,

well i have two nokia 3330 both v4.50 and they are both stuffed (well kind of)

I tried unlocking my partners, but forgot to do a backup of phone first & my computer crashed during process, so i then had "contact service", tried reading a backup from other 3330v4.50 and comp crashed again.. Sod's law?? probably my own stupidity.

well have searched the net no end for a full flash file so that i can get these phone's working again (they are both completly dead now) but cannot find one anywhere.

Could someone please advise me on what to do and how to go about restoring them back to full funtionality.

i think all i need is a full backup. i need to reflash both phones with a full flash, would appreciate it if you would provide me with the file/files

I think THIS (http://www.cubwolf.btinternet.co.uk/upgrades/3330v506.zip) will do you, 3330 V5.06 flash file, just flash it then updaite faid etc

the upgrade worked for my partners phone no problem, used Rolis 4.78 beta 006, and eeprom tools to calc faid.

now i did exactly the same thing with my other 3330 and now all i get is " CONTACT SERVICE"

any ideas anybody!!!

eeprom tool says: "
reason for Contact Service

- MCU Eeprom interface Test Failed !
- Eeprom Tune Checksum Test Failed !
- PPM Validity Failed !

Please repair phone first.

Im a Newbies but I hope this will help.

1. Just try to read the MCU-PPM of your phone.
2. Then try to user checkfixer to calculate all checksums.
3. Flash phone again. (Sorry for the English).
4. Try to get virgin EEPROM for 3330, then flash it. Do not forget to check the those addresses.
5. Do not use Rollis for SP Locking. Try to use Knok (Phoenix or Frontend).
6. Then Quick set Faid. :) :) :)

hi, maybe you should see the "bug" in nhm-6 mcu 5.06 before giving links :)
go to "write messages" with T9 dictionary on and press/hold * to enter the "insert symbol" screen. now press # twice to bring the cursor to the bottom line of symbols and you will see some weird things happen :)
stick to 4.50, 5.06 was never an official release anyway.
btw, for the guy above;flash virgin eeprom from http://napalm.all.at/ then rebuild imei/sp lock and update faid.

im still having trouble, would appreciate help if you could provide this, i have tried all the above but the flashes i got dont seem to work on one of my phones, the flash i got from THANASIS was a brilliant flash but only worked on one of the phones!! what am i doing wrong??

have managed to sort out both phones now,

one phone is now running : 3330v4.50
other one is running : 3330v5.06


thanks, shall see how 3330v5.06 works out, 3330v4.50 was tricky, cant understand what i did but it is now working??
