Hi Toneman, i have try it and it succes with Special effect, but why it only ringing Half of the tone, not full tone can be play in the phone, can you fix this. THANKS

Juz my opinion

I think the converter is not perfect enough to convert
some of *.re tones . this is my results , 1 is the original tone is .re format . after the conversion is the .rtx format which is playable using Logo Manager . the tempo of the converted file is somehow not the same as the original .

if you noticed , in PPMEDit the tempo(displayed in rttl format)
is 960 but in Nokring or Logo Manager or Coding Ringtone Workshop max tempo is 900 bpm .

2. also the same result if u convert a lower tempo than 960 , lets say 480 bpm .

3. Also in PPMEDit , if u try to click on the Update button(on RTTL tone frame at the center) , try to play the tone after pressing this button , it'll sure exactly the same sound if using your converter .

i don't know much about the hex data , but i've done some modification to some tones using the hex data format . the sound still the same , each time i click on the Update Button on Hex area(bottom right on PPMEdit) .

this is strange m8, the code (musical notes) in HEX is the same code in rttl format table just above the hex table but if u press the Update button on rttl area , u'll destroy the whole tone sounding . hmmmmm why uh..

but at least u've the idea of conversion .. need a little improvement ... Good Luck !!

:cool: ToneMan , sorry for this comment , jz want to help u improve the program . i'm no programmer like u . only a little ideas .

This is the coverted file from re2rttl 1.6 . the tone duration show a little improvement but still not perfect as the sound of the *.re file . the Staccato sound is quite good for some part of the tone .

I think u should work on the bpm area , attached file is ringtone from Eminem - Without Me with in PPMEDit , the tempo is 960 which make it impossible to play using Logo Manager,Nokring or other ringtones composition software .

The rttl notes , i think its not playable using nokring since nokring can't play a "dotted pause" eg p.. , p. but playable using Logo Manager with *.rtx extension . Also noticed that , after the conversion , Tempo is somehow changed to 480 from 960 . but its ok since u change the notes double the original speed like in original format the note is 2c#(T=960) , to make the note sound in 480 u change the speed to 4c# . here is the problem , what if in the original format the tone is 32c#(960bpm) ?

i list down standard bpm from Logo Manager,Nokring,Oxygen Ringtone Workshop ,Coding Ringtone Workshop etc..

25,28,31,35,40,45,50,56,63,70,80,90,100,112,125,140,160,180,200,225,250,285,320,355,400,450,500,565,635,715,800,900 .

noticed that all of the programs had max bpm of 900 .

Hope this give u more ideas .. i wonder how did the guyz from Jippi.com compose their tones ? can't found yet any program to convert the tones . did they compose it manually or using MIDIs keyboard ? its really time concumed to compose the ringtones as from jippi.com(some) using guitar to enter note by note ...i've tried once .. in this sk8er boi tone(attached) this is composed using guitar by entering the notes using nokring then converted to re using RTTL to RE .. as i download the wav file from jippi.com . then i play the sound file using my guitar to get the notes for nokring using "ear tool" as some says ur ear is ur very best tools " .

i saw some improvement u've made . as usual u'll find the results
attached . 3 files . the *.re(tempo formatted as 869) , 1 is in wav file for ur listening , 1 is the result(in rtx format . This time i use circus tone as i find the shortest lenght of tone in my list .. i think it is much easier to use this file as ur next R&D .

noticed that ur rtx conversion doesn't include s=c (continuos) function in Logo Manager .

in this circus tone , the last 6 notes ,beginning with 1f5 . this 6 notes should be played at a faster rate (~900bpm) . i've tried to modified the notes by replacing the s=n with s=c before the note 1f5 . these notes
are not heard if u using s=s (stacato) before the 1f5 if u played it in Logo Manager (never tried it yet on Nokia) but it is heard if u change the s=s to s=c . and with the Tempo change to 900 these last 6 notes should sound the same as original format (with a little xtra speed since logo manager don't have the 869bpm). and the whole tone is now screwed except these last 6 notes.

... another problem is the Scale (octave) . all converted tones is now changed automatically to 4 . Original octave in *.re format is 5 . I think u should change from 4 to 6 .

here is some tips which maybe u'll find it usefull . it is the result
which i think its strange . u'll find the tone sk8er boi(my previous attachment) . The tone was originally composed using Nokring . U'll find it(the file in rttl format attached inside the zip). in this rttl format , the BPM is 500 and the Scale(octave ) is 6 .

what i did is , i open the rttl file with RTTL to RE converter to get the *.re format . this program is nice , it'll automatically add the vibrate on/off function 0A 01 and 0AFE inside the HEX data . also noticed that the program also automatically change the bpm from 500 to 960 and octave from 6 to 5 without damaging the whole tone sounding . it is perfect as heard using nokring. but in PPMEdit
if u click on Update button(at "tones in Nokring format" tab) , u'll ruin the whole tone sounding for sure . however in the Hex data area, the Update button won't affect the tone sounding if clicked.don't know why , maybe TnP know the answer :D

Well done m8. the coversion is 95% perfect. the other 5% is the pause notes.(some tones) and some notes with long duration ie 2f. .... in some tones( in my test) this 2x.(x is note) , i think 1x is better than 2x. , but there is no need to fix this in some tones ???

Hi Mr ToneMan, WoW. now we don't have to do it online. Great software. , but still :( as i test it before , and test it again, still will cut the Tone in the Middle while playing.

on logomanager is fine play Full until End of Tone, but when the i insert tone to my 8250 , the tone stop in the Middle of the Tone. I use a Special Effect Tone .

I've downloaded the re2rttl10f and MCI32.OCX.
I tried to paste and extract the MCI32.OCX file to the re2rttl10f folder but when i wan to run the program,i got this message

"Component COMDLG32.OCX or one of it's dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid"

Can somebody tell me what should i do?I really dun understand...

Just put this into ur c:/windows/system then go to run at the start there then type
regsvr32 \windows\system\COMDLG32.OCX
then u can start already!
