I want to unlock a 3310, firmware v4.18, that has been given to me by a friend.
I intend using Rolis NokTool 1.8.
It is currently locked to one SP and I want to use it as a Pay As You Go with another SP (Already have working SIM)
I am being cautious and don't want to do anything until I know what I'm doing.

Currently the phone is set as:
MCC+MNC 23410 CLOSED FACTORY
GID1 0000 OPEN FACTORY
GID2 0000 OPEN FACTORY
MSIN FFFFFFFFFF OPEN FACTORY

Reading through this and other forums, first step after reading seems to be to hit 'Clear SP Locks' which says it resets SP Locks to Factory Defaults.

Since all four locks are already set as FACTORY surely this won't do anything.

Shouldn't I hit the 'Open All' button, but then what.

Thanks for any help

Use 'Clear SP Locks' than restart phone, lock will be cleared:
MCC+MNC 00101 OPEN FACTORY
GID1 0000 OPEN FACTORY
GID2 0000 OPEN FACTORY
MSIN 0000000000 OPEN FACTORY

First save your flash.
Then go to Unlock. This sends a partial flash to the phone
After that you'll have tu update the faid. Use K-nok : go to Quick set faid.
You can unlock you phone with "EEprom tools". Youll need a Mbus cable. Press tha "Lock" icon , then after the phone resets press the magnifying glass to update the faid.
If you have problems , just flash the old flash file back

The days of unlocking by flashing (using partial flashes) are long gone (thank you god!) this guy is right just use MBUS (the com port connection) and EEPROM tools to unlock the phone, just press the lock icon it really is that simple these dayz.

Thanks for your replies. I have an Fbus/Mbus cable and the same problem as many here have, it doesn't work with Eeprom Tools. Thats why I am using Rolis NokTool.

Big Al, what exactly do you mean by restarting the phone. Do you mean simply switching the phone On and Off again.

Thanks for your help Al, worked a treat

By the way, do you know what the Clear CNFG button in ROLIS does. I think I've managed to work the rest out now

I think it stands for "Clear configuration" .
