hi
several questions
if i have one phone that not works nothing, and is sw problem, what must i do?
to flash the phone with full flash?
what is full?, eprom+mcu+ppm?, mcu+ppm?

i ask this because i had one 7110 that not work and i repair with full flash (eprom+ppm+mcu)
now i have one 3310 that not switch on and when i look for a full flash i find a lot but when i see the adresses is not full is the direction of mcu+ppm.
then what can ido?
with mcu+ppm i solve the problem?
do i need eprom+ppm+mcu?

Which software do u use for uploading the flash files??
I have tried several on my laptop but none seem to have upload facility.
I would prefer to use XP if possible.

you can write mcu+ppm and the eeprom separately in to your phone,
so,download the mcu+ppm that you want,and eeprom for 3310.
mcu+ppm 200000-3D0000
eeprom 3D0000-400000

The eeprom start address depends on how old the phone is.

i use rolis 4.78 with w98, i don't know xp

for manipulator

i use rolis 4.78 for flash, i select ppm and mcu or full flash
how i select only the eprom?, and, is a virgin eprom good for that?
is necesary one special eprom?

I have tried rolis on my windows 98 laptop, but when i try to do any action, it comes up with error
Power OFF mobile first and then connect
(Or check cable : phone TX=low(0) expected but phone TX=high read)

I can communicate with logomanager, dct3 (not flash) and etools.
So i presume my cable is okay

No I have it in the com2.
I have just been trying dct3, it seems to talk to phone on some menus but not on others!!
Dont you hate newbies!!
All I am trying to do is unlock an 8210, as the wifes doesnt show O2 but mine does, and then I want to upload or modify the firmware to include the fading LED's.
Two so called simple operations.

If you want to flash phone you'll need a flash cable, connected to LPT port (search forum for it) and that's not M/FBUS one.
