Hello! I'm a newbie to NokiaFree AND mobile software modification. Since I am planning to open my own mobile shop, I have to learn some stuff..... To start off, I have a Nokia 8890 "downgraded (by another mobile shop)" to 8850. PROB : Message Inbox only allow 5 messages MAX. Compare to my original 8890, I can save 10 messages. Now, I would like to upgrade to 8855. I have downloaded the 8855 MCU & PPMs (all). Problem now is that I don't know how to check what language is the PPM and where to start.

Questions:
If I don't have the cable, can I use infrared? How to determine ROM?
Does anybody have all the PPM descriptions (country/language)? I'm looking for Chinese Simplified/Traditional input from Singapore, Malaysia, or Taiwan. I already have P Q R S T U.
What software should I be using? I'm currently on XP.
