6 easy steps to change you Signal Bars + create your own slide.


(There's a english version also, but i dindnt have it at the time i wrote this. Its the same anyway.)

First of all , back-up your fls.
1.Using g3n0lite v 1.2 , open the fls you want to modify. Under the "Patch" button you see 2 check boxes . Check the option you want, ore both.

2.Click "Patch"
If you chosed "Net strenght" , after clicking the "Patch" button you will be asked to chose the type of signal strenght bar you want to use.

3.Scroll down the "Output Window" untill you get to the SUMMARY where you'll see the list of offsets (for every frame of the animated signal bar )where you should put your graphics. You'll need them , so d'ont close g3n0lite just yet.
4. Save the fls.
Open "Poodriver". In the "Datei" menu , chose "Flashfile laden" (opens the fls), and open the fls you just saved with g3n0lite . In the "Optionen " menu , select "Offset in dez" (Offset in dec).


To change the signal bar:

Check the "Hinweise" radio buton.
Copy the first offset from the g3n0lite list (after the "dec: ") and paste it the "Offset(dez)" box in "Poodriver". Click "Offset lesen" then click "Hex to pic". Now you should see the first frame of your animated signal bar. Click "Bild loschen" if you want to clear the image and start from scratch. You can also open bitmap files : in "Datei" menu, chose "Bild laden" (not Bin Laden :) ). After you're done editing the graphic click "Pic to hex".
Repeat step 5 untill you're done with all the frames. Save the fls in "Datei" => "Flash spechern". Correct Checksums with "N-free". Flash-it to your phone, update FAID using "K-nok" or other tool and thats it.

To modify the slide:
Check the "Start, Spiel, Gewinn".
From g3n0lite ,copy the offset for slide frame 1 Example: (Offset for slide frame #1: hex: 00120DFC dec: 1183228) In this example its the number after "dec:". Click "Offset lesen" then click "Hex to pic". Now you see the first picture .Click "Bild loschen" if you want to clear the image and start from scratch. You can also open bitmap files : in "Datei" menu, chose "Bild laden". After you're done editing the graphic click "Pic to hex".
Repeat step 5 untill you're done with all the slide frames. Save the fls in "Datei" => "Flash spechern".Correct Checksums with "N-free". Flash-it to your phone, update FAID using "K-nok" or other tool and thats it.

Why not use hexgraph?

I tested poodriver once, and didn't like it very much... (german version though, maybe a bit old).

I didnt have the oportunity to test this on 6250 but in theory it should work just fine. Just be sure you update all the CRC's before uploading to the phone.

I've tried the tutorial from you without success. I think the 6250 file cannot be opened with one of that programs. So... multi draci mi-am facut in seara aia!!! :)

u can fix all checks in g3n0lite with ease...
theres a button called Fix all Checks....

or the best: Kill MCU Chk / Kill FAID / Fix all Checks

Is very easy to use. But I want to change Romanian T9 dictionary and to change signal and battery bars. BUT! Romanian T9 for 6210 or 6250 doesn't exist ang the problem with bars... :evil:

as the coder of g3n0lite i can guarantee,
THAT IT WONT WORK WITH 62x0/7110 series!

you can try as much u want, YOU WONT GET THE BARS WORK....

you can modify chunks, texts as much u want - it wont affect the bars!

I'm sure g3gg0 is right. I only tested this on 3310 and i can guarantee it works . It should work on other models to like 51xx, 61xx and others.

I had some trouble with a 3310 after changing the bars and adding the slide it worked perfectly but when someone called me they couldnt hear me. Do you have any idea why? Maybe cause the fls was heavely modified?

I have a problem when I try to flash a 6210 phone.
I have upgaded the software in my 6210 from a erlier version to 5.36 version. But wheh I've tried to set FAID, the programs I've tried cannot init. the phone. The phone is starting but I still set FAID because is reseting...
More than this, when I'm trying read the phone, it cannot be done because the flash program (NOKIA DCT3 Flasher by rolis v. 4.78 build 006) get me "Whait for boot counter accept (Phone TX=High)".
If I try to write get me the same screen and after that get me "Timeout (check cable or mobile contacts)".
This is only for this updated phone, because I've tried with another 6210 and all is working perfectly.
Also, the FBus mode is working on phone, i've tested with LogoManager. But if I set the MBus cable on LogoManager settings, the phone cannot be read.
Where can be the problem? The communication witb MBus cable is made on two pins (GND and MBus). So, if don't work, must be from one of this two pins. But the rolis program tell me that TX is high and as you know TX connection is realised on another pin.
So...
Can you tell me what is the problem and if can be repaired this... :evil:

Hi Coyote! Maybe the flash is damaged.Does the problem apear when u use other fls to?
Try killing the the FAID before you upload it to the phone (use Chkkiller ).

You're right. The problem its the Mbus . I dont know what to say. I noticed it takes some time when connecting through Mbus. Maybe the time before the phone resets it self its to short . Start Knok and try updating the FAID right after starting the phone. Its a long shot , but...

and to replace the pictures, you must use
