FAID calc & kill on 5110 not working!

Hi guys 'n girls, please help me!

I tried to Calc and Kill the FAID of a 5110 file, but it doesn't work.

Anybody has a solution? Thanks in advance.

dear Friend,
I don't have any 5110 phone at the moment, but I tried to kill a 5110_522 flash file Check sums, using g3n0lite v1.7.
The result was succesfull.
I don't have a phone to check it, but it looked all right.
Have a try by yourself

I don't know what you're trying to do, but according to my experience 5110 have never had problems with faid, even with modified .fls.
Maybe I telling you things you already know.

1. You flash your phone with Knok-Phoenix.
2. Go to Misc and emulate communication from .fls file (choose the already used .fls)
3. Go to check and fix and choose "Check and fix check sums"
the procedure is very fast.
4. Disable emulation from .fls file
5. Using Mbus to com port, Go to phone settings and Set Faid (the faid that was just calculated).
and 6. Always with Mbus Go to Phone settings and choose "All above".

Steps 4,5 the phone is ON and without SIM

Dear Enzo,
I am really surprised, because 5110 is a very old model, and I have never had problem with faid.
I'm sure you are doing something wrong.

1. During flashing remove SIM.
2. Flash phone with .fls file of the version it had in the beginning
3. You don't need to kill check sums, simply follow instructions I already gave.
4. Get flashes at the site www.flashes.online.pt

Is your phone ROM 3 or ROM 4
use the appropriate flash flash for dsp.
i had the same problem..also do not try on winXP
only 98
