Wolfman aint getting at you. He's just stating a fact that your phone is blocked and there's only two reasons for it which he has stated.

If the phone doesnt dail out on any network its BLOCKED...

cingular usually 31017 in all areas, some new 6100 aren't locked at all, plaese try first with a foreign simcard

att usually 31038 in all areas, except 24407 for 3650 with IMEI 351102/50/0..

if u do it me or gsm can provide u with the correct codes list
and what codes to use for the unlock code 1 or 7 etc

Yesterday i tried entering my info into dialtonez.com site and it gave me some codes,i tried 1 and 7 and it didnt work.

I just generated a code for myself using the Crux DCT4 Calculator posted by a member on this website. The operator code I used was 24407. I thought this was the code for AT&T USA.

I got a message saying "Code Error!"

I was going thru the various threads and found out few posts where the IMEI is higher than mine and is on the same AT&T network in USA and the unlock code worked fine! I have listed these below.....

Is there a way we can figure out what operator code was used for them ? Was it same as 24407 I used ?

On the otherhand, could you please tell me that if the error I got first time "Not Allowed" means the same as the "Code Error" that I got second time ??

I think I can get the data cable and the bwinlock. What are these ? Can I find them in my local electronics stores etc ? I do not have any credit cards to buy them online. How much will they cost ?

I think I might still have 3 tries left. I had stopped the middle way while doing the second one. Do you want me to try once more with some code before getting the cable ? What code do you want me to use ? This way I can save me some money.

Thanks again, looks like it worked like a charm. Got a msg that said something to the effect of "phone restriction off". I take that to mean it was successful. Put the SIM back in, screen still came up "Cingular Extend" but I imagine that comes from the SIM.

Yeah, you're right....I forgot to look up the frequencies. Ah well, no big deal really. It's my wife's phone and she wouldn't like me running off with it. I've held off getting a GSM phone so far since coverage is good mainly only around the big cities and I do alot of traveling by car. Would end up with alot of dead spots. When the GSM networks get better coverage here and I get a compatible phone, I'll have to keep the EU frequencies in mind.

If Ur phone is unlocked that way it doesn't have warranty any more, and it can't be relocked again
