What r u talking about??? Be glad, that there is some1, not charging for every piece of work!!!
Most of the time people try to rid of the simlock from their very own mobile. And that's absolutely fine, if u ask me.
And it suxx, if people, whether they paid for unlocker software or not, charge other ones for unlocking their mobile. I do it myself sometimes, but i never charged a dime...
So leave it...

When reading the first post I really though this forum was going to change just like everybody else......
Hey GSMJOHN, isn't there enought people around making money out of something intangible like that?
Nobody obliges YOU to give codes away, but please live the ones that try to help each other alone....
There are millions of other pages and forums where you can make money if you like... :D

@ almogaver
there are also a million pages and forums to go and ask for codes there:p
since the dct 4 calculator appeared this forum becomes less and less instructive. only give me, give me, give me, give me...

I KNOW.
Thats why I joined this forum, and not "them".... Because I didn't join to ask for codes, I joined to help if I can, to learn, and to be helped sometimes, otherwise I would not have over 100 posts in less than a month........ (AND THEY ARE NOT SKING, FOR CODES, MY FRIEND;) )

Come on guys
Two things mate:-
1. WHY GIVE THE CODES - Because we can.
2. UNDER MINDS ALL THAT HAVE PAYED UP FOR UNLOCKER - Not as much as it will if we crack it.

most people believe that when you buy a fone, it is yours not the fone company's!!!
so locking it to one network, is like buying a car and being told that you can only use one gas station!!!
SO ITS A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL WHO SUPPLY THE MASTER CODES.
If i can help some one, with my knowledge.
I will, and mostly they do the same for me..
That is what is great about this forum...

Ya, why pay to those web sites that offer remote unlock if we have a pool of experts in this forum? hee

as is said before - i will be glad to provide codes.
but only for members that did something usefull for others on this forum.
not for ones that came here and make money on our back
who wants to do otherways is their problem...unlocking is a buisness for the most of us. i live from this. with money i earn from dct 4 codes i buy myself new equipment for unlocking/flashing newer phones...
today u can unlock with free codes...but tommorow? when this service maybe willl not work on newer phones where will u go? i will come to me or someone like me...and maybe i will charge u more that usual, because as u make a living from your work i need also to make a living from mine....

I know, that i´m a newbie, but i think you´re all right in oppinions, i can´t blame john for his idea charging money for the unlocking, i understand him perfectly, because he´s doing it for free where the most unlockers charge for it, but i would like to say to all of you "free unlockers": keep up the good work..., it´s damned nice of you :-)

to THE FOX:

this comparison is not true, it would be better if it is stated:
so locking it to one network, is like buying a car and paying monthly for it, u will not be able to sell it or truely own it until it is paid off.
If u get a cell for free or 50 dollar, that is not the real price and it definetly not urs yet. Those phones real price is many times 500 US and more and the phone company pays most for it.
And by covering their losses from people like here (me included) they have "expensive" calling plans, nothing is for free in a business world. But this has nothing to do with the initial post from gsmjohn.

pay as u go fones r also partly sponsored by the phone company that is why they r locked, buy a cell without any phone company affiliation and u will c the real price eg. the Nokia 8310 (built in radio and 500 names memory) without any provider sells for 599 euro, as pay as u go and locked u get it for 199 and as contract fone (one year) 50 and 2 years free, thats how it goes. u buy the phone they make it yours but locked because the phone company paid more than half for it, they get their money back by u using their network, if one unlocks the pay as u go phone and uses the cell on another network the company who sponsored the cell loses money, do this a 1000 times then that's a lot, the phone company must get back the lost money somehow.

These free codes are getting out of control.
I'm getting nothing back from doing them, i get mail bombed every day with "Can you unlock my phone", I get a million and one people posting every where looking for these codes. Only one person has returned the favour, yet there is 351 posts on one thread.
But I guess the point is they are free, and I should be happy. Its just the amount i have to do.
I hate to say this but I had an offer for the dongle and I'm thinking of selling it.:(. But, well. I hope I dont, i dont want to, but I'm rather in need of the $$$.
I will keep going, till i find i need to sell it. I havent done a code that was paid for in a few weeks. :(
